He obviously has some tactical variations in different games, different opposition, if you pick out 2 from the end of the season. Against us it was keepings off, chip kick it around quickly, uncontested possession and in the GF against Geelong it was take it on, go quick through the middle.

I think this is sensible. There should be a clear demarcation IMO - the AFL adjudicates penalties for acts that occur on the field, or will directly effect things on the field e.g. performance enhancing drug use. The clubs look after their own cultural issues that arise on Mad Monday, Sloshed Sunday or Tik Tok Tuesday.

This is the AFL though - it's more likely the demarcation zone of whether clubs get to handle their own punishments will be inconsistent and drawn roughly around the Victorian border.

A Mundy or a Fyfe would be hard to find - eventually we can grow this from within (Johnson is developing nicely .. maybe Erasmus might get there) but in the meantime ? Without having to lose picks I reckon there's a good one out there - he's no Mundy or Fyfe .. he won't burst through the packs .. but he'll stop the midfield leaking and is a reliable disposer ... Will Setterfield

We need our defenders to hold the fort a bit stronger. The end of the 2nd quarter vs. Gold Coast in the final was atrocious defending. Can’t expect our midfield to win every clearance. A lot of the inside 50s were loopy and most defenses in the afl clean that up.

Probably a fair indication that is what he is being instructed to do and your assessment is way off the mark. Not every player has to be bash and crash. Imagine he kicked that dribble goal in the final though All in all, had a great year and hopefully goes to another level next year.

If he kicked that goal in the final we win the game.... genuinely as responsible as they come from that failure. True colours rise to the top in finals. He faltered badly. Would love us to upgrade his position.
