This is not confirmed yet, Thompson is suffering from a "sore hamstring" and only did light training today, but the Crows have not ruled out selecting him yet.

Losing 1 player gives us a healthy 22 to choose from. You don't really want to play injured players. I think we are still a chance to win but we have to be at our very best. Collingwood (no doubt our bogey side) plays very good as a team but we can beat them. I wanna see hard attacking football from us, not lazy boring St Kilda like chip it around.

I think Goodwin has been earmarked to play defence, though he may slot back into the midfield rotations to cover Thompson I guess.

Word is that Thommo won't play. Why do I sometimes get the feeling that the Crows are cursed? We have already lost Stiffy as well before the 1st game.
Ah well, I guess one more of the kids will get a game if he doesn't play.

We'll find out at 4:30 when the team is announced I guess. We do seem a little unlucky with injuries but as you said it gives the younger guys some experience and hopefully they perform well enough to keep others out of the team. We can only hope
