THOUGHTS. ablett as captain?

are you going to have ablett as your captain this week or would you if you had him?

Vs. melbourne at the G, trying to win brownlow, has had a break, missed out on round 7 through injury earlier in the year and came back with a score of 164 in round 8 and whenever i don't pick him he goes well (round 5, 254 points).

it is a risk also because he is apparently (coming from geelong) 90% fit and could be rusty.

so, should i have him as my captain for the first week of finals?

I'm taking him, no more of a risk than the rest of the hacks in my team and even on a bad day he won't score abysmally.

If he's been cleared to play then the ankle will be fine, but if the cats have an easy win and are up by 10 goals by 3 qtr time, which is very likely, then i wouldn't be surprised if he has minimal game time in the 4th qtr, just as a precautionary thing and to lower the chances of another injury. If this happens then his scoring capability will be cut by 25%.

As much as i love the bloke as a player and as my normal Supercoach captain, i'll be going Bartel as a safer option

yep, I'm going round in circles, the thing that i always come back to is Ablett can easily score 150+ and not even have a big game. Decisions, Decisions

I have no idea. Have some OK alternate options with Bartel, Riewoldt, Buddy, Cornes, Coon Dog, Cox, ROK etc, but keep coming back to Junior.

I'm gonna make Bartel captain and see how Ablett does this week. If he scores were he left off then there is no reason not to make him captain next time.
