Im just interested to know what everyone thinks about Fleming. Im my mind, Fleming is a pretty decent hard worker. He adds depth to our team - something we lack. Also, he adds a bit of grunt and hardness into our team.

He isnt a reciever. Constantly does he come off the wings and puts his body in. His skills have been questioned at times.

I just dont think this year is the right year to offload him.

Yeah , he is a bit stiff but i like the logic behind the decision .

He has a real dip but his skills are deplorable , not up to AFL standard. Our skill level has been our achilles heal for many a year now and TW is obviously going to deal with it .

All the best Flem , but it had to be done

I thought Fleming didnt get delisted?

He hasn't been delisted as far as I know, unless there's been more announcements since the first six that I don't know of. I think some people have got his and Fletcher's name mixed up.

Anyway, I think we should definitely keep him at the club, at least for another year under Wallace. He's very hard at the ball, just has to brush up on the skills and have a big pre-season. People criticize his skills as if he never does anything right. I think he's fine most of the time, sure he stuffs up a bit, but right now most of our players do.

We all know his skills are not in the top (or maybe even middle) bracket. But he puts in and is generally thrilled to be getting a game. I can't actually recall any major stuff ups (apart from some turn overs) and i certainly can for guys like Chaff, tiva, johnson and even hartigan last week..

We need players with this atitude.

Many players of his ilk have played many more games than he has.

I think he might get to 100 games for us.

I like his toughness and his willingness to get involved. Give him a year with Wallace and see if his skills improve.

Wouldn't be surprised either way with Flem. Looks like he's staying. Would have thought it may have been Fleming or Blumfield to go. I'd say he's worth keeping for his sheer hardness and obviously not his skills. Could be a good example to all the kids in the squad as to how to attack the ball.
Wouldn't be on big $ and we can't get rid of everyone at once. I'd say he'd need to improve in 2005 to get another year though. She be told to give it off by hand at any oppurtunitiy as he's a shocking kick.

Shows more heart and interest than most of our other lot. He's like watching a rusted out HQ Monaro. The hardness and heart is there, just needs to be tweaked in certain areas before he can really perform.

By the way bee dee ya w@nker, how are the finals tickets selling? Any chance of more than half filling the ground this year?

Thanks for your kind words. have you got the exfooty manager out of the spa as yet. Perhaps you could be Ploughs assistant sunglass remover? Has the tanning studio been set up as yet, out with the weights.

Your joking are'nt you? Where have Gaspar,Pettifer,FIORA,Hall,Krakouer and Hyde been if not in the gym.All 21 or over and been in the system for 3+ years.

Pettifer put on 6 kilos at the start of the year. Was an absolute runt before, still not very big, but good to see some improvement. He'll be hitting the gym alot before next season's start and hopefully put on another 4 or 5 kilos, then he should be ok. The rest need to go out for a few meals with Richo and order what he has!

Just clearing my throat. Can we use your place before and after the GF as a base. Hear the spa is full of surprises ( ask hutchy )

If Fleming spent the entire off season with a Footy in his hands wherever he went and honed his skills daily for 6 months, we could see a massive improvement in this guy.

You sort of get the feeling he might have the determination to do that, if that's what it takes for him to keep his spot.

There's no doubting his hardness and courage, he can win the ball too. If he honed his skills, he could be a truly damaging player off a back or foward flank.

i like to look at it as,

we cant have a team of Rolls Royces we also need a few commodores or fords, but in Flemmings case a Mini Minor, he tries his guts out but just doesnt have the class.

anyway if we got gid of Flem then who could we have a go at next year now half a dozen duds have already gone?

:D

Fleming played well in the last couple of games, but i think time has
run out for him and it's time to de-list him.
We would not be able to trade him as no club would make an offer.

Plough will say to Flem:

"You've got pre-season to get your skills right mate, and Mr.Royal over there will give you plenty of help whenever you need it if he's not giving Richo kicking instructions. You're bloody tough so I'll give you half a season to hit some targets, if that doesn't happend, it'll probably be time to go" :D
