sandilands, pavlich, bell johnson were the standouts Murphy, parker, headland dodd macca poor.skill errors from these hurt us the most but at least the effort by all was there.dissappointed but proud.

Be very proud, only positives can come out of a year like yours.. Definatly big threats for next year.

At least we know the importance of home games in the final and the benefit of a weeks rest.

No more losses to bottom 4 sides during the H&A and one thing we showed today is we are not far of the pace of finals footy.

Pav stamped himself as a genuine superstar. Crowley Murphy et al get another final under their belt

other than that a pretty lacluster game I thougth. Absolutely no atmosphere

Every premier has to have their Prelim loses. Just going through the motions. Freo premiers 2007 :thumbsu:

Crowley...couldn't be too much happier with the kid right about now

Rumour that he wants to come to Vic..

Just kiddin.. but the door is open :)

Pavlich, Sandlilands, Bell, Crowley excellent.

Johnson, Mundy, Cook etc tried hard and were ok.

Headland, Schammer, Peake, etc poor.

Parker and McManus played badly in all 3 finals.... maybe retirement nearing?

I don't think McManus should retire as all through the season, he has been a great player.

That said, when he comes to finals, he should stay on the bench and used as a sub but throughout the whole season next year, definately keep him on:thumbsu:

To the Freo Dockers & FFC, should you read this :D

TOP EFFORT lads for the 2nd 1/2 of the season when most had you penned in for the 2007 season. Bad luck in tonights game - I thought the umpiring was OK at times, but that's the game. Freo allegedly had more free kicks than the Swannies.

Not going to bag players that cost the game, but will say that Sidnee did play a unselfish type of game. I think our backline was put under pressure and some poor decisions by those in the box. Learning curve. Perhaps will make the whole outfit hungry for it next year.

The pressure is now on WCE for tomorrow.

Now I've gotta decide if I should cancel my return Melbourne flight tickets or still go and see a GF or save 'em for the Australian Open or Grand Prix...decisions, decisions.

Disappointed? Of course, BUT still Loud, Purple and Proud! Bring on 2007.

Gutted at the moment but we got beaten by a better team.

There were a few positives, Pav, Bellie and Sandi all played well. Probably the best thing for me was the fact that we fought back several times. On a number of occasions it looked like Sydney would run away with it but to our credit we hung in and fought it out.

Roll on 2007!

Feeling: Proud
Positives: Sandilands coming of age, Pavlich standing up when it counted, Johnson/Mundy/Murphy/Peake only to get better
Negatives: Headland been beating all of the contests and allowing run from the swans backline and not putting his head over the ball, Schammer tried hard but just too little and not hitting targets
Things to work on: hitting targets and the gym

We tried hard, our forward and backline are our strength but our middle is very undermanned. Cant see us fixing that problem for next year but maybe the year after. If we trade and get ready made midfielders it will still take a year for them to settle in eg Josh Carr

Disappointed but not too unhappy. Some great individual freo performances on the night and a couple of ours went missing too. Overall we were beaten by a well drilled team.

We could have played better, a fair few skill errors and the players couldn't seem to grab the ball at first chance - they will clearly learn how to play better under the higher pressure that comes with finals.

Swans were afforded some home town decision and didn't seem to get a bad bounce all night - but you get that. We will be back with bells on in 2007.:thumbsu:

Well i am ****ing guttered, im so disappointed, the boys (and CC) really did deserve much more than what happened tonight, just couldnt get the ball to bounce our way eg. Pav's handball to Crowley and a few others...

Peter Bell you are an absolute champion, the boys should be honored to be playing under you, and i cant wait until you are holding up our 1st Premiership cup (as captain or Coach), you sure as **** deserve it.

Just ran out of legs against a team that had a weeks rest and were playing at home. Travelling so much in the finals is going to take it out of any team. I, like many others, was ridiculing the team after the Geelong came and felt certain that the Coasters would forever remain the best team in the west.

It looks like now, after a brilliant second half of the year by your lot, that even if we still are the best (which on current form, who knows?), it's not by much.

I don't mean this in a condescending or patronising way I promise...

Be very proud of what your team achieved this year in the face of a tonne of adversity and attacks from the media. I no longer look forward to derbys like I used to (i.e. with arrogance and confidence), I now look forward to them with excitement and a little touch of fear.

So putting all WCE v Freo rivalry aside, congratulations Freo and good luck in 2007!
