It sounds like Josh is gong to decide hat he wants to come home, its jus a metter of working out a trade for him now.
But that trade wont work, they will want more than Thompson for Carr, maybe Tompson and a 1st rounder will work.

We may be a little closer to getting J. Carr after his flying visit to speak to club officials and his familiy, but even if he wants to become a Docker we still have to work out an acceptable trade deal for both teams. And I can say unequivocally that losing Haddrill is not acceptable to us.

Then why did Carr and his manager fly into Perth today to talk to Dockers Officials ;)

It wasn't Carr and his manager, it was Carr and Port CE Brian Cunningham who flew in to meet Carr's family ... ;)

It was actually his manager, The same manager who handles Nathan Thompson from Hawthorn. That is what fueled the speculation that Thompson wanted to head west ;)

Why would the dockers pay for Carr and the Port CEO to come to Perth, doesn't really make any sense if you ask me

The footage of Carr and Cunningham was taken at Adelaide airport. Im pretty sure Cunningham wasnt there when Carr was interviewed at Perth airport.

A player who leaves a grand final celebration to travel across the country to speak to another club generally means he is looking at leaving.

I saw the footage last night of them at the airport and it was definitely Carr and Brian Cunningham. It was also reported in the papers here today that Bucky had gone over with him to meet the Carr family.

Could mean something, could mean nothing, we should know by Monday.

Hadrill isn't going anywhere. To see how highly he is rated he has just been selected to play for the Australian international rules team.

Hes contracted and going no where.

Barra didn't actually say he was playing Ireland... just that he was called up to play for Australia

CameronK came up with the great line..
"where will he bat, No 3?"

But, no deal will involve Haddrill nor Dunn.

Yes, but if you want to be stupid about it, Pope. The evidence is that the comment very much implied that Haddrill would be playing against Ireland. Otherwise the thread would have been deleted due to spamming.
However, the thread remains, and the idea about batting against India can be ruled out straight away due to the fact that the Cricket selectors would be unable to call up an unregistered player.
The only alternative is that he was called up for military service, but on the basis that conscription isn't common place, this idea should be lost.
Conclusively, don't be so odd next time. ;)
