got tickets last night, bottom level not to far back in the Olympic stand.

still decent tickets left if you go for premium reserve seating.

My GA Membership ticket will still get me in though, right? I just have to rock up like 2 hours early to get a decent seat, correct?

Wrong, your membership is only vaild, subject to capacity. You will still need to buy a reserved seat which i wouldnt wait on.

Times like this, I love having a reserved seat membership. I know I'd be looking for tickets every way possible, which would drive me crazy :thumbsu:

Okay, TL15 is in. Yes it may be the nose bleed section at the top of the AFL members but I would sit on top of the scoreboard to see us smash the Pies at the G with 90,000 others!

Very much looking forward to this one! :)

Not sure if its worthy of a new thread but AFL members tickets have already sold out for the hawthorn game, tried online this morning, then rang ticketmaster.

General public tickets for this match go on sale Friday 5/08/11 at 9:00 for any AFL members that havent got tickets.

Why do Captains Club members have to pay $4 to sit in the Reserved Captains Club area?? This is really shitting me....

I guess it'd be to cover the booking fee. It's fair enough that it is reserved only for this game I think, there's going to be more people wanting to go than seats available so to make it reserved means people wont be disappointed on the day

Subject to capacity.

Once the area sells out, then some will miss out.
Not too many seats in M7 - M9

My advice is pay the $4.00.

From what I have heard, the Carl v Hawks game will be a fully ticketed match.

MCG Standing Room

Have heard the game has been sold out for tomorrow. Does anyone know if this includes standing room? Also is the game being telecast live? Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

Not sure about standing room but the game is live on CH10.

From my experience, the three times I've been to games that were "sellouts", I walked straight in the door with my silver membership. I'm always standing so seats don't bother me.

I believe there was an 89,000 game a couple of years ago that I got into very easily. I doubt there will be 90,000+ there tomorrow due to local footy, weather and people just not showing up.

Re: MCG Standing Room

Both the Collingwood and Carlton websites are advising that members cannot scan in on their memberships tomorrow. Everyone must have a reserved seat. And I believe they are all sold out. They were releasing more standing room tickets for AFL members only I believe.

I had a look around for more info and couldn't find anything. Would appreciate a link or two if you could. :thumbsu:

I just found this on the MCG website .........

http://www.mcg.org.au/News/News/2011/July/Carlton Collingwood tickets.aspx

All other public seating and standing room tickets to have sold out. As a result, there will be no general admission available on match day.

All seating in the AFL members has sold out, with only standing room remaining.

Carlton FC members are reminded that their 2011 membership provides free entry to Carlton home games, "subject to capacity". As such, they will not have access to the Carlton v Collingwood game without a reserved seat or standing room ticket.
