I know a lot of people here never read it, but I swear, I only buy it for the ads...
But here is some stuff relevant to our club in today's edition for those who don't get it:
(From a thread I started on the Main Board...)
Despite the numerous "eye-witness" accounts by BF posters about the events surrounding the incident at Club Bay View last Saturday night, where Subiaco footballer Greg Broughton received a fractured eye-socket (accounts which they later admitted they had made up), this report was in today's West (p193 - article by Mark Duffield).
Young Subiaco midfielder Greg Broughton says he can't remember a nightclub incident last weekend which left him with a fractured eye socket.

Early this week, Fremantle released a statement saying it was aware of an incident at the nightclub involving players Jeff Farmer and Steven Dodd.
"The club has spoken to both these players about the incident and, based on the information involved at this time, the club will be taking no further action," the statement said.

He (Broughton) said he could not remember being struck and did not know if Farmer and Dodd were present when he was injured.
Police sources told The West Australian that they were aware of, but had received no complaint about, the incident and the Dockers players had been described as "onlookers".But it is understood Fremantle have counselled Farmer and Dodd about exposing themselves to volatile late-night incidents.

[My comments:
So after all the gossip and innuendo (some not so subtle) about these guys, it turns out they were not involved after all. No pushing him down, no dropping knees into his face, no kicking him and working him over while he was down on the ground unconscious; and there was no ambulance for Broughton rushing him to hospital - rather he went home in a taxi. He has been checked out obviously, to know that he has a fractured eye socket, but part of the police "awareness" of the incident has been to hear that Farmer and Dodd were "onlookers".
I sincerely hope the counselling they received is along the lines of "stay away from CBV at all times, walk away from any strife or potential strife at all times, and STAY SOBER during pre-season training and at all times during the season proper. I also hope that it is made clear to both these guys - and all others - that being anywhere, or involved in anything, where they can bring negative publicity on themselves ot their club will not be tolerated.]
Also in the "What's Happening at Your Club" section:
The Docker's top draft pick Clayton Collard has been brought back down to earth after breaking his thumb playing basketball. Collard has the thumb in plaster.
Fellow recruit Calib Mourish has impressed everyone with his athletic ability since arriving from Geraldton. Oh yeah baby!!

Though unlikely, but it would be humerous!
