Sort-of, but I think what they were trying to do was just to be a bit upbeat whilst everyone is so down.

I wouldn't look into it too much.

I think you'll find most of the articles written on the RFC website aren't acyually written by anyone at the club - part of the Telstra deal, written by people emplyed by a company called Media Giants I believe. They have no interest in what is really going on at RFC but they would have a quota of articles to write per week for each club website - so they fill it up with fluff pieces like this one.

I'd think if a player puts his name to a piece either the player or the club would have to see it and give it approval.

Exactly. Its a bloody story about a bloke kicking his first AFL goal. I dont know how it has anything to do with the last 25 years of the club.

Good on him.

in the most disappointing start to a richmond year since i can't remember and ive been through the horrible 80's, 90's and 00's I just found it strange that an article pops up about how rapt that mcguane was that he kicked his first goal, thats all I was trying to say. who the hell gives a shit that mcguane kicked his first goal, nahas laid his first tackle or richo kicked his 1000th behind?

What about telling us how they are going about turning their game around to win some matches instead of telling us how great they feel after personal achievements?

They can't win when they're not winning. If they write the stuff you just mentioned people slag them off for being all talk and no action. If they shut up shop they get accused of 'closing ranks' or whatever.

Hehe sorry, just found this somewhat amusing.
But I agree, until we start winning, we're gonna get it from both angles...

"They can't win when they're not winning" - that may be the single most insightful post of my short Bigfooty existence.
