The Fan Night got me thinking about a few things, just did a mock up of an 'app' that you access from your desktop, can add news and the fixture to it, reckon it's possible to add RFC Facebook and Twitter updates among other things.

Check out the mock up anyway and see if you like it, the news and home buttons are the only ones that work (no flashy effects), when I get spare time I think I'll flesh the whole thing out and make it functional.

You'll need Adobe AIR to install it if you're interested

Hey T_S, can you tell me what you use to make such an application? I might make one / use yours if it's OK (depending on what you used to make it) and jazz it up a bit in terms of graphics.

I can't develop it for a couple weeks because of exams but when I get around I'll add proper graphics/buttons to it, if you've got skill with image manipulation it'd be great to work with you on integrating a cool design.

I used Flash Catalyst, Photoshop and Illustrator to make the mock up, to make it functional, you'll have to use either Flash CS5 or Flash Builder, the latter is hugely code heavy (can't really use it yet myself) but I've got enough experience with the former. You could make the whole thing just from Flash CS5 but it'd take longer and there'd be a bit more code.

The good thing about doing it as an AIR app is that you can then take the same application on the web, to the desktop, to an Android smartphone and to Adobe enabled TV's.

Sounds good T_S. My AS skills aren't great though but being a graphic designer I know my way around Photoshop and Illy very well, so that's no issue.

When I get a bit of time, I'll do a concept or two and hopefully we can get something nice and functional in the end if you'd like.

Sounds great, my Photoshop skills are limited to what I can google up haha, I'll stick with working out the back end then

There is already a Tigers app for iPhones. It's called "The unofficial Richmond Tigers app" IIRC. News articles, twitter, game previews, stats etc.

The main point of this is to do more because it sits on your computer. Definitely possible to do a version for android though

I don't want to disapprove of your idea but I think it would be better to just use the AFL website since Richmond doesn't have that many articles and you can listen to the game on the AFL site and along with other pieces of news.

T_S, we'll probably need a name for it of some sort because we won't be allowed to use the Richmond Logo, I wouldn't imagine. Anyway, I put it in there anyway - perhaps RFC_O can let us know if we're allowed to use it or not in any form.

I've got a larger version of this to suit bigger resolutions and we can also scale it for phones but I'm not sure what res they'll have to be.

Anyway, just a concept of what we could do:

Love some feedback T_S and anyone whos interested.

EDIT: BF can be so annoying sometimes. Here's a larger version: http://www.ckgd.net/MISC/LayoutPSBG.jpg

Thanks guys. I'm not sure of T_S' limitations and that sort of thing at the moment but hopefully we'll get there.

Depending on the interest, might setup a website or something when it's done so people can download it from there.

Thought I'd keep it relatively clean and simple so the coding wouldn't be too difficult from desktop app to iPhone and Android and all that stuff.

Looks brilliant :D

Check your PM RFCTA, sent you my email to save this thread getting bumped all the time.

Kolchy, I was thinking of you with this since the fan development night, your HTC got me thinking about android haha
