Well, we were pox.

If we were going to beat anyone this year apart from Melbourne it was these guys.

One has to re-evaluate our position after a start like this and I can not see who we are going to beat nor who is gonig to win less than us. The only possibility is essendon. I would very much like to avoid the spoon, however it does look ominous, but would dosent really make a difference where it s. If its the bottom three, its the bottom three.

We would need a total turn-around, a completely different performance for us to avoid this situation. With Fev, Fish and Waite all back in I thought our fortunes would change. Things now actually look worse when you consider how our BEST team has performed.

Lance should have played forward. Richo tore him a new one, Denis should be taken out the back for that, he is so inflexible and conservative.

Our skills are third rate. The whole team should be taken to an Assumption college football game and see the skill level. Then after the match reminded that these are school boys, you are afl players. So answer me this WTF is going on. Your skills are worse than school kids !!!

Beyond that right now, carlton are PATHETIC. Really dissapointing. Not much more you can say.

Awwww so you wanna blame the umpires (of course it could never be that your players werent good enough )

Once again, consider yourselves lucky you didnt go in 10 goals behind at half time. Im actually very disappointed, if we were ever to improve our percentage this season, then this was the game to do it, but our kicking kept you in the game.

Dont stress though Bubble Boy, I genuinley believe you guys are on teh improve and are better than at least Essendon.

Consider this, in the equivalent match last year you lost by 85, so tonight was a massive improvement

I agree with Lyon. I rate Waite and wouldnt mind him on the Tiger list.

That was the worst game of my life, this one not far behind, You've got a point, but we also fumbled more than you lot. We have no excuses, Richmond should do better this year by the way they played.

Johnston was a Tiger supporter as a kid and since he finished with Carlton has followed Richmond more closely than his ex club.

Whitnall is not a backman and never will be. He is your centre half forward, and a star when you put him there. Its a fact that you guys are more dangerous as a shootout team than as a defensive team (see the first quarter).

Our kicking for goal was just as atrocious as yours ...Fev ..who is one of the deadliest set shots missed some sitters ...so perhaps our bad kicking kept the Tigers in the game ...that and some atrocious umpiring decisions

I don't think it's all bad boys.As far as a contest goes,and a genuine footy match I quite enjoyed it.When both sides attack the footy like that and take risks with the ball I am happy to look past the skill errors.From what I have seen from a few other soft**** teams Richmond and Carlton might give a few a nice dose of reality on the odd week.As Denis would say,some of these so called good sides are drinking their own bath water.

Was actually a pretty good game in the first half. The second half quite comical. Fair enough you watch some ordinary footy on TV, but being at the match has it covered 5-fold. You could tell that the players were absolutely *ooted in the last quarter, not surprising given the pace of the game.

Pagan ought to hang his head in shame. Having Whitnall playing back when the game had to be won, not saved, is amatuerish and shallow. And especially playing on Richo who was on fire... in that form he'd carve up anyone... why not leave Thornton there and use Whitnall where he can be dangerous??

I can't believe people on this thread are calling The Dice Man a troll when everything he's written is truth. We should have been pumped... I can't believe we were only 8 points down at the final bell.
