  1. Rushed behind free kick - 1 completely unfair goal
  2. Mitch Morton's great mark in front of goal not paid - at least a score, probably a goal
We won tonight by 7 to 12 points just on those two decisions alone. I reckon Jack Riewoldt would have iced the game when we were dominating in the 3rd quarter but struggling to find a target. Things are looking up :thumbsu:

Good step forward in the development side of things. Grigg stepped up tonight and played great I thought. Still gutted by the draw so close to a win.

You were ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd be going wild if we were treated like that. Flicked on the game, halfway through the third. I reckon the umps cost you about 3 goals in the 1.5 quarters that I saw.

I really, really want someone to successfully prosecute Milne and put him in the big house for 20 odd years...

Surely there had been some other chick that has said no...
I will go to sleep happy that he will never play in a premiership side.:thumbsu:
His opponent, Reece Conca, will.

The only negative that I have from tonight is we didn't close it out.

Outside that we should be happy. Jack goes down yet we scored 14 goals. Deledio proved he can match it with the better mids in the AFL. The 3 kids showed plenty to warm the heart. Vickery showed some great signs. The midfield showed its true potential. The key now is to back it up next week against the Hawks.

That may be true but we showed so much of what we didnt have any of last week to have plenty of fight this week.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

A final quarter effort like that vs Carlton last week would have got us the 4 points.

And yet the window is just opening for us but yet is fully open for Carlton and St Kilda?
Makes sense mate.

Fantastic effort fellas.

Hardwicks work really starting to shine through.

Unfortunate that you couldn't grab the full 4 points but hey, 2 against supposedly the second best team in the league (at least last year) is nothing to scoff at.

See ya next week :thumbsu:

I have to ask the question - why on earth was Conca put on Milne? That's a lot of pressure to put on a 2nd gamer

Brilliant game to watch.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
That'll build some huge belief in a very young side.

Boys take a ****ing bow. That was absolutely amazing and every single player should be proud right now. I am. We have come a long long way in a year and you are all to blame for it. Very very special effort. :thumbsu::)

I really am close to tears from what I saw. Never ever seen a tigers team like that. This will be a good year :)

Just rewatched the third and fourth quarters. What was the standout?
Heads down, walking off the ground to the rooms... Trent Cotchin rallying the troops, tapping every guy on the back and chirping with enthusiasm

The futures bright lads :thumbsu:

Very, very unlucky. The mark of Morton's that didn't get paid and the free kick after a Richmond player handpassed through for a behind (legitimately) mean the umpires should come under heavy scrutiny.

Conca on Milne in his 2nd game? We're lucky he didn't kick 10

May have hoped he'd hurt him the other way. We actually don't really have an alternative anyway.

Perhaps Bachelor might have been a better fit, plays as a lot tighter like someone whose actually played in defence his hole life.

I reckon Hardwick had set a maximum of 4 for Milne and then he'd switch Conca. Milne just couldn't fulfil his part of the arrangement, much to our merriment in the loungeroom...:D:D
Showed great faith I reckon to leave him on, and he proably made him aware during breaks that he was there to gain experience.

Devastating but hopefully the team grows from this. We took on one of the best teams with our best forward not playing and manged a draw, plus a four quarter effort.

He rotated both Conca & Batchelor on Milne for that very reason imo, to gain experience. Then Newman went to him late in the game when it looked like we might win the game. Good coaching imo, stuck to his guns until the very last minute to make the change of putting a more experienced defender on him.
