Read in the gazette that Thwaites was named to play in the 2's but didn't get to play because the Dusties had to forfeit. He could be a very handy inclusion for the tigers coming into the finals. It will be interesting whether they put him straight into the ones now or if he plays a gme inthe twos. You would think that they would want him playing a senior game before finals.

Thwaites ended up playing seniors against Warragul after they could not field a side. Very classy return, you would have thought that he hadn't missed a match.

It's the Goons first senior final since they won the flag in 1980. Great effort by everyone involved over the last few years to get the club into a such a fantastic position. A realistic chance to have every grade in a grand final.
