I thought that pendles looked abit flat against the saints. This is by no means a criticism but i think he deserves a rest to keep him fresh for finals. I think he deserves the week off (as thomas got last year) to go home and just take a step away from footy. he has been outstanding.
His game yesterday was very good for a 2nd year player, but compared to what he can deliver he was abit flat.

Felt his class shone through on a day effected by the weather. No complaints from me.

I thought his skills in the wet were fantastic. The amount of times he picked up the ball and made it look like it wasn't even wet was amazing.

what is he a race horse send him out for a spell

Don't worry, out of sorts players have a habit of turning it around against the mighty fighting felines.

I thought the same, actually. But he's become such an important part of the side that I'd rather they gave him a couple of light-training weeks or a little less time on ground to freshen him up, rather than omitting him for a week.

Pendlebury still made one or two basketball steals, and contributed more than, say, Holland would have.

Despite looking flat, still in our top 22, and at such a crucial stage of the season, we need to continue brooding the youngsters in big games.

It definately wasn't his best game as he was a little quiet, however we have to remember he is only in his 2nd season and isn't going to play well every week.

The reason Thomas was rested last year was that it was his first season - hence no pre season, Pendles has a pre season under his belt and will not be rested - I need him in my dream team anyway!

Saints tryed to shut down him, tarks and swan with there defense and i think they should rest him....maybe fraser but hes doing really well and also rocca. oh wait hes already had one.

Basically right.

Except I don't agree with the resting policy, so IMO, wrong.

Though what you did say made enough sense.

My little defender played a tagging job on Montagna. Kept a bloke who has averaged 30+ possessions over the last month to 13.

Still not good for my SC, though.;)

Well, if you look at it, saints put Montagna on Lockyer which i quoted before, tryed to shut him down. Had a slight effect but nothing serious.

Spelling.

I'm pretty sure MM put Tarks to Montagna. Not that it really matters, all history now.

Um? .... seeing they just had a break AND he is a full professional, he'll be playing. He was still playing well ... just wasn't a dominate game that's all. Just wait ........ :thumbsu:

Ah, your wrong. Lyon said that they will be trying to shut down him and swan as they are the highest stat getters and the key to the pies running play...

you heard it from him
Ross or Garry?

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Lockyer went out the to play as a tag, and he did.
