Elton has been given a few shots so has arnot they're not up to it yet, BTW there's a 39 year still running around for the bombers after 20 years that looks like you could push him over with one finger.
Elton has been given one shot and that was like 2 years ago. He deserves another crack.

Give them both a go we're not exactly setting the world on fire with the team that's in right now.

True. I would like to give Elton a go next week his body is big enough to cope against the big boys. And try a forward line of Jack, Elton and McBean for the two games against Saints and Lions

Bring the kids Cevap bring in the kids!

Its time we finally find out.
Whilst we are at it ****en drop S.Edwards and actually Mcdonough where he meant to play. I understand he hasnt lit the world on fire but give the kid a break wasnt he recruited as a small forward?

Our forward line should read like this

Out: Hampson, A.Edwards, S.Edwards
In: Elton, McBean, Mcdonough

Mcdonough, Jack, McBean
Martin, Elton, Deledio (should be half back)

I'd wait till the St Kilda game. If he kicks three or more goals, spread across 4 quarters against North Ballarat then he should be given an opportunity. Took some strong marks on the lead yesterday. Mcbean isn't as small as he seems because he is a 1kg heavier than Jack. So as long as he sticks to leading and not trying to wrestle until he fills out then he will be fine.

He's only 19.

He turns 21 at the end of August 2015, so he'll be 20 for most of the season 2015 season. Not sure where you pulled 23 from.

His arse perhaps? :p

It's kinda where alot of overtly negative Tiger supporters are getting their opinions about our future lately. :drunk: :D

I would not bet on that, McBean is not going to be the savior your hoping for..
He's our future vickery's not...I wouldn't bat an eyelid if we traded or delisted vicks at the end of the year.

He's not that different in body shape to Joe Daniher. Daniher has had 20 games under his belt and is only just starting to put some decent performances together.
Liam has a long way to go. I wouldn't be debuting him against Sydney. No point.

Most of us agree st.kilda should be his debut.

Saw him in one of the pre-season senior games (maybe against the Dees) and looked totally lost at senior level. Had an interrupted pre-season recovering from ankle surgery and then busted a hand and missed another 3-4. Leave the kid in the seconds this year, teach him how to play for the rest of the year without the pressure that seniors will bring.

Another 6 months working on building up his body while still maintaining agility and cherry ripe for season 2015 for mine.

Daniher also had a pre season before he was drafted, the pre season he was drafted this pre season. McBean hasn't had a full one as yet.

So really three pre seasons to none. Big ask.

I want him to get a game just so he can feel the tempo and know what level he needs to work towards.

Getting him having a full pre season this year is of utmost importance.

Me too. But the Sydney backline will eat him for dinner.
Not the game to debut him. Give him a run for the next two after that maybe, but not this week.

Perhaps, then Elton should be given a go, should have happened this week as a chop out for Maric , Hampson just shouldn't figure Big O would contribute more

On the upside if he comes in and doesn't perform we can refer to dropping him as "flicking the bean"... That would be amusing at least :p

However I think Elton should get a crack first, haven't been keeping track of McBean a lot this season but pretty sure last season he just about made Jarrad Grant look buff.
