With the Hawk struggling with a mystery complaint and the days of SJ over as a forward and no Chapman,I for one wouldn't mind seeing the Pods camped back in the forward 50 with Hawk.
In his best years he was kicking a Goal with every 5th kick, thats now blown out to about every 10th this year as we push him all over the ground.
Two or three goals a game from here on from the big fella would be gold.As it stands our tall forward structure just doesn't look dangerous.

I would like Hawkins out to centre half forward. He has forgotten his best asset as a player is his leading ability, not wrestling. Make him run around up there and he'll remember what made him the best and fairest winner.

Pods is fine, he's been terrific most of the year. Hasn't kicked as many goals as he's playing in defense and much further up the ground but if he doesn't do this role for the team, we get slaughtered in defense due to only two genuine key defenders in Taylor and Lonergan.
As brilliant as what Mackie, Enright are, they are out-matched against those blokes 6ft'5 and 100kg's and this was always the dilemma the club faced during the trade period and perhaps opting for a key defender or another mid, as it goes...we went with Thurlow and it's proven to be a fantastic selection but unless Rivers can turn his injury-plagued season around, Podsiadly won't be staying deep inside 50 for a while.

The two games we have lost we have been slaughtered in defense by their little fellers I'm not sure it's working for us the way we're structuring up we're still leaking goals with Pods playing that role and not hitting the score board himself and making it harder for Hawk to get some clean air one out.

We could play another tall forward of cause and Pods back but that won't help and would more likely make it more difficult to control their small forwards as Pods has the turning circle of the Queen Mary.

Pods has good set of hands is strong in the marking contest and a decent kick all attributes of a key forward, time for a rethink at least.I know I always like when one of Buddy or Roughy are playing up the ground and drifting into the backline i'm sure the opposition don't mind seeing Pods away from our forward 50 either.

The Long bombs in are the worst. Really need to lower our eyes and hit up other targets. I Said it multiple times in the match day thread that Hawkins getting double teamed most of the game and they keep bombing it too him.

Do it this week against Freo and we won't kick a winning score.
