When in reality, he's actually 22, and Shannon himself has 2x bags of 5, 2x 4s, and a few 3s, a little bit of the gloss comes off that interjection.

I don't think anyone is under the illusion that Neale is close to Darcy, the bloke is a freak, and sits head and shoulders above the other young talls right now.

That said, folks are allowed to be excited about SN without being told he's not at the level of the absolute gold standard. Nobody outside of Darcy is.

Friday last, power outage!

Saturday morning, sound asleep + a friend rang + asked:
“Have you SEEN it?”

Blah! Blah! Blah!

He screamed: “GO OUTSIDE!!!”

SNOW!

Sat on the verandah + watched the snow






Power outage from Friday afternoon!
No electricity
No gas heating
No hot water
No cooking
No wood fire, snow streaming down chimney
No WiFi
No phone
BBQ being serviced
No food because, no cooking!

Anyhoooo:
Lit the open fire this morning after one clear day. So amazing to be warm again, considering no food since last Thursday. Big breakfast at a local cafe + brought food home, plus two thermoses of boiling water.

Weird: I had no appetite, yet all four Les Petites ate ferociously.

Finally, at 5:30pm power was restored!

Opened a + about to watch the game!

Despite now power, good old Foxtel still recorded the game!

So all hail Foxtel

Along with the updated songs for Holmes & Miers was

• Jumping Jack Flash for Jack Henry
• Ballroom Blitz for Blicavs

Not sure we've heard either since the updated song choices - and maybe Blicavs misses have been because he's not a fan of the song

I am simply not a fan of the songs/music. And I am a muso. It is too much Americanisation for me, and the AFL is quickly becoming a nuffie clone of the NFL.

If we have to have songs let's at least make em ****in Aussie songs ffs.

Now I live in a tropical climate.

I’ll rub it in a tiny bit more, because you skied nearly deserted slopes.

I worked for the company, who owned Thredbo. Friends + I worked longer hours in Winter, so we could leave Sydney at lunchtime on a Friday. We had a caravan on a friend’s property, near Thredbo + kept our gear there. Had free accommodation + ski lifts. Returned to work on Tuesday.

Was staggered when the sold Thredbo due to climate change. Winters are colder!

I’m nearly to the end of Q2. No idea who wins atm.

Scrappy, we’re in accurate, they’re trying + looks like kittens + puppies falling all over one another, achieving nothing.

Highlights so far:
Danger kicking a goal with his left foot;
+ then handballing to Jezza for a goal;
My Boy Miers’ goal.

Mannagh had three disappointing attempts. No criticism, just felt for him

Being a muso and a diehard means that you are the absolute last target market for the post-goal songs, though.

They're aimed at new-ish middle of the road fans, not people with strong feelings about either of footy or music.
