Time to drop Aaron Joseph

I think it's time to drop Joseph he cost us big time in my opinion with his undisciplined free kicks he gave away.I think his been a ok player but isn't a player that you say is crucial to the side.I would drop Steven Browne also his gone backwards since his first year.It was disappointing for him to not play the team game and actually be aggressive and actually take Thomas out of the game by shirt fronting him or whatever to get reported.I say this because in what i seen he won't get another game for at least 8 weeks the way he played.It might be a dirty act but you get respect showing that in my opinion to take a damaging player.This especially if you played poorly and was likely to get dropped.A act like this sometimes makes a player as opposition hate it.

He cost us big time when the game was their giving away silly kicks but he wasn't the only player who was bad.I would say more then half the side was.I'm not sure if he will get drop but when you consider guys like Henderson,Bower,Lucas,White,Yarran and Fisher to come in some players will get a run in the 2. I also think Davies and Austin may get a call up soon for someone.

Dude think this if i was playing for Carlton and i was a depth player and it was a crucial game.This was a final we needed to win you knew you had a shocker and was likely not going to get a game for at least 6 or more with other better players to come in.The one thing you could do is absolutely wind the best player on the field and get booed but also get us to get back in the game.Thomas anally r*ped us a good one.The guy is like any man because ingeniousness don't mean his made of Steele.The old footballers would have done it.I wish we had a few tough guys like a Mal Brown who would take it for the team the good way the not the other way.I reckon Wiggins would have kicked his ass.

Felt sorry for AJ. The umps were obviously targeting the guy big time. Anytime he even looked like putting any contact on a North player he got a free awarded against him. It totally stuffed his confidence early in the game. Give him another game next week. He'll be fine.

When playing the absolutely important games of the season place one of them on the bench.

Line up the 22 opposition players and then you can play 18 on 0.

Problem is we'd kick a point. Then we'd be F'd.

Rioli had been back for a while. Milne tears us to shreds everytime...except this year.

Totally agree AJ is a tagger he cannot be creative at this stage. he does not get many possesions and for us to go forward we ony need either Armfield, Carrazo or Joseph in the side. Their is no room for all three, along with Browne Yarran lucas bower are in my view better players and can hurt opposition players a lot more than
JOseph.

Joseph needs a spell - it hasn't been just one bad game.

His decision making has been woeful lately and he needs a spell in the ants to regain some confidence.

Yeah I read that too - Ratten said AJ was only a 30% chance to play Wed morning 2 days before the game.

Why risk playing him injured and not being able to perform. Pretty dumb decision by the MC especially when there are capable players in the 2's who aren't injured.

Probably the most inciteful question in the wash up to the game. I have been trying to work out why we haven't been able to turn things around when plan A doesn't work. I think having nearly 20% of your side whose best/only position is as small stopping type player is a little overkill and could be the major cause.

As stated much earlier in the year, I would love to see us stop trying to negate the opposition each and every week, and take them on instead. There are few teams that will stop the creative influence of our team in full flight if we give our players the freedom to take on the opposition and back them in.

If we took AJ in with an injury concern that is an unneccessary gamble from the MC given we have players available in the Ants. We have first hand experience of getting beaten with a reduced bench already this season, no need to give the opposition a free kick. If they are not sure, a week off or in the Ants is not a bad idea. If not, he is a better stopper than Browne so should keep his spot ahead of him.
