ok.... .whats an awesome game.
little bit drunk. but i think its time to drop medhurst... passenger!!

we have enough of his type of player, and we may be better off with a different option up forward...

Fraser in - Medhurst out!!!!!

harsh>?

I would never drop a player who can win the game off his own boot such as Medhurst.

I reckon Medders could do with a rest to be frank. We've had a number of games where we need someone to win the game of their boot and Medders has just not looked like it.

That being said - none of our forwards have looked likely. I might be tempted to try Dawes, but I think a smaller forward line would be better against Geelongs defence. I'd be tempted to throw Caf into fwd line and add Josh.

Yes.

no freakin way the guy can win a match out of nowhere. though hes been a dud ever since he won that match for us earlier on in the year where he got crunched

Keep him in for similar reasons to why Rocca was picked last week but Medders has been playing, his experience and smarts around goal are too valuable to send off to the VFL, he is lacking fitness a bit but a rest wont make any difference, no point sending him to the VFL so play him

i was disappointed he didn't have a shot when he passed off to dick in the pocket, but he did a couple of nice things and said above, he chased hard and laid a couple of nice tackles

i wouldnt get rid of him, he is just so likely to turn it on at any point
something just needs to click

That horse has bolted, the time to drop Medhurst was a few weeks before finals, so he could regain touch in the VFL and return when it mattered.

I said as much weeks ago, and was duly shit-canned for doing so.

Mick was asked after the match about players who arnt performing in the foward line and his response suggested he isnt too happy with medders.

i reckon if it was round 12 he would be back to VFL, but he is the sort of player that can play a blinder, so will stay

MM was reffering to both Davis and Medhurst after the game, ONE OF THEM WILL NOT PLAY NEXT WEEK.

We have to fit Fraser, Beams and maybe Pendlebury into that team, so one of Davis and Medhurst are likely not to play next week.

Would be a big call, but both have been terrible for a good month now.

He isn't at his best at the moment, but could refind himself in the next game. All he needs is that small spark where he gets the ball, plays on and kicks a miracle goal. He'll be right.

Where did he say that?

WEll if he was dropped, how could it be devastating. He hasn't played a role in a fistful of victories so I'd be tempted to put Cafe forward and bring in Beams if fit. Fraser for Wellingham.

If he did actually say that (I haven't watched the telecast yet), then it would be pretty safe to say it will be Medhurst.

Davis is carrying something and has been for a while now, if they have figured him safe enough to get up for games in the last month then I can't really see that changing.
Don't expect to see him in the middle much though, think he'll be squatting in the forward pocket for the rest of our finals campaign.

Where did he say that?

On Channel 10 after the game, watched the replay on tape then (good old VCR) and he had an interview with headphones on with Wallsy and the other w***ers at 10.

He said that some players, and especially some forwards need to perform better if we are to beat Geelong, and that with the VFL side going so well no one was guaranteed a spot.

Seemed pretty clear he was pointing at some "big names".

personally id drop him for dawes, as im pretty certain frase wont be fit

I know its lossing a runner for a huge unit, but dawes presence will help against an undersized cats backline

In shit form, yes. But his hard tackling in the third (along with Thomas and Dick's chasing) got us back in the match.

Dawes would make our already questionable forward line pressure even worse. As TRS said, the time for him to "regain" form has passed.

i didnt say it was the finest idea, but we'll need another target next week i feel

Wellers is first cab off for Fraser, but Cafeteria could play Medders role in my view and allow us Beams. If Beam not fit, Fraser for Wellers.

If Fraser not fit, then Dawes could do the pinch hitting.

On Fraser; what for? It's time to stop playing favourites and think about our best team.

Wood's best this year is better than Fraser's best, Wood's average this year is better than Fraser's average, and Wood's worst this year is better than Fraser's worst.

Plus Wood actually finds the pill in dangerous bloody positions, is prepared to take a hit filling the hole, and presents an option from kickouts.

I'd much rather see Rocca in (if healthy) than Fraser tbh.
