Was just watching a replay of the Melbourne vs Fremantle match from a few weeks ago on Foxtel IQ, and noticed what appears to be a major timekeeping error.
Second quarter, Cale Morton kicks a behind. Clock stops with 4:31m to go, and when the kick in is taken, it suddenly changes to 0:58m left. That's 3:33m missing from the clock. I don't know if it was noticed by anyone else at the time, but I am totally scratching my head as to what happened.
Only possible explanation is that they cut 3:33m of vision from the TV replay to make it shorter, but the same Freo player has the ball and the commentary remains unbroken during this "time shift".
Can someone explain?
