But I've seen a number of girls who look ghastly. Freaky as shit. I do wonder what women like that write in their bio, so I often take a look.

These particular women are an archetype. Envisage an obese woman with acne, several chins, tangled hair, pink track pants, a way too tight (and not in the good way) tank top, piercings, tattoos, and teeth that best resemble burnt corn. Then you decide to read her bio to see what her deal is. "22. Single. Proud mummy of an 18 month old. Need someone to take care of me and my baby".

Oh yeah, give me some of that!

Yes some chicks choose the absolute worst photo as their main and I have no idea why. I don't mean they're always actually unattractive girls either, they can have better photos in their gallery if you go to look, but for some reason make an absolutely horrendous photo as their main where they look like they don't GAF how they look. Don't get the idea behind that.

Croweater's description above of the feral looking single mother is bang on though. Especially when it says something like "need someone to support me and my baby".
