Parker good, Lamb hasn't done anything yet, pick 22 not great for Tippett and a second rounder. After seeing players like Wellingham get pick 17, then you'd have to think Tippetts value would be a little higher than what you have suggested

I rate Giles alot more than most on this board. I think we need him, as i cant see as getting anyone else who can genuinely help Jacobs out.
Gorringe i cant see leaving GC this trade period.

I'm with you re Giles, FAITH.

Jacobs was rooted by the year end, and if he went down injured, we would be in major strife. Jenkins and Smack don't cut it as ruckman at all IMO.

Giles is a good ruckman who can kick a goal when resting up forward. Kicked a few for GWs with very limited time up forward.

Our strength is our mid-field and if we could add to that 100% ruck pressure all game, we will be an even stronger club next year. Plus we have a quality back-uo if Jacobs goes down - and he will at some time or other.

Nobody. He's no good.

You see him run onto the ground, and run off at the end. They're his major achievements in a game.

Bigger, stronger version of Matthew Smith. Complete dud.

Played 3 games this year, and won't get a game next year.

He's worked that out and is looking for a trade.

I don't care who gets him, as long as it isn't us.

I don't think he will end up living up to his junior rating

At present I would but not in a pick 22 and Jessie White sort of loss. It has merit in a sort of 20 minutes left in trade week sort of way ( not being an arse about it) but as a straight deal between the two clubs it isn't badly put together.

I'd doubt the concussions will lower his value, particuarly after his last game. I'd reckon most clubs would have viewed him on his last two seasons not that 8 week stretch and whilst the media might beat up the whole " one more concussion and he's mincemeat" thing there is little evidence for that and morefor he just had an unlucky 3 weeks

You don't realise just how close Pav was to becoming a crow...you can blame nobody but Gary Ayers for that one. Told his parents he didn't think Pav was much of a player and they were going after Carey

If hodra is right about the deal, then the first piece of the puzzle has fallen (Wellingham for pick 17). I am not sure why Melbourne would do it unless Neeld is madly in love with Dawes.

But let's assume we end up with pick 4. What are the chances that Jimmy Toumpas is there at pick 4?

FAITH reckons we are interested in Giles (makes sense but I am not sure why Giles would want to be a back up), is there a chance that there is a trade of pick 4 plus something of value for Pick 2 or 3 and Giles. This would just about guarantees us a shot at Toumpas.

I asked this on Sunday nit. I asked if they would leave him to GWS for PSD (given Kurt loves Sydney so much ) and somehow getting a mini draft pick on the cheap.....

Wont happen....He will end up at Sydney no doubt in my mind.

If GWS haven't got another 150k for Giles how are they going to afford Tippett. PSD = GCS or Lions for free

Excellent question.

I wonder if the AFL has thought of that.

The answer is no, not in the sense that we understand it now.

It would definitely then have to be only one main ruck with a forward who can relieve that one ruckman.

That would certainly add huge value to a player like Tippett if they bring in that stupid rule.

It would definitely be the death of the 2nd ruck as we know it. Surely the Dimwit and B-grade lawyer can't be that stupid??

Of course if the Crows get a reserves team next year Sturt will be decimated.

Two years ago I thought Jesse White was going to be a decent player. He's since sucked balls in every game, and never gets a single possession and is rarely on the screen. Sort of like Justine Westhoff outside of Showdowns.

He's another on my Jason Laycock pile of bad calls.
