And any contract, agreement or anything else needs to be approved by the board of which Steven Trigg is a part of before it can be signed.

I can see where this is going. People are already angling for John Reid here and will blame him to once again stick up fir a bunch of pussies running the club. Each and every one of them should be accountable for this mess but like always, they will cover their asses, come off as victims and gullible fans will feel sorry for them!

They a responsible and I am sick and tired of them showing no toughness or leadership for years. We a the yes men, the **** suckers of the industry. I want my club to be a leader of the pack, ruthless but professional. We are soft bunch of pussies and yes men and to them I say F@CK YOU!!!

Fire up sunshine. Stiffy for GM:thumbsu:

To be fair, Trigg spoke to the media from France (or where ever he was) about the Tippett trade. The man can have a holiday.

No he can't, don't be ridiculous. How dare he celebrate his 50th birthday with his family in the off season! ;)

The club will never, ever admit it. If the truth gets out, it will end up being a public relation nightmare for the club and it will never get out because there are still people involved with that contract at the club.

Saying that, it was never written in to his contract, that';s why the AFL knew nothing about it.

That's why the handshake agreement came out. It was always a gentlemen agreement written on a blank piece of paper signed by the parties involved.

Alex I know this is going to look like a bitchy personal attack but you often refer to being involved in education and I am genuinely interested, are you currently a teacher? If so do you ask your students to proof read their work?

Call me crazy, but I'm still living in the hope that us and them have been talking about things in private that WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT!

I'm hoping that Sydney knows that 22 and White isn't enough, and adelaide is being stronger than appears in negotiations, and last weeks rumours of players being shopped around were true.

Really hard in the footy industry .....we saw White try and have a medical

No other players have had Adelaide medicals .....so that counts Rohan out

Any player spoken to would have been really difficult to keep from family & friends .......I really think that's it :(

always defending the Crows heirarchy...Trigg's the AFL's bitch...he should stay in France

Re Trigg being OS, we are all aloud our four weeks (min) holidays a year and a bit of long service leave, or we go crazy, and we don't want that from our representatives, especially in high stress postions, regardless of what we may think of the odd decision. The structures would have been put in place ages ago to cope with his absence, and rightly so. What we have brewing is an AFC decision, and can not be palmed off to one individual. Workaholism is as dangerous as laziness!

why don't you stick to the topic w***er

I'd say just leave McKernan and Carlton out of it. I'd rather McKernan AND Parker than pick 11.
absolutely. what in the **** are people smoking here?

for a team already light on for ruckmen, we have just lost our 2nd best ($KT) and now we are suggesting trading - voluntarily - our 3rd best option. FFS, stupidity, esp with no quality back ups seemingly available (giles)

Jacobs goes down with a knee in the pre-season...its gonna be a long season

Sydney just won a flag. The is no doubt that their performance this year would have triggered a number of performance clauses in their players' contracts. They will receive some relief from veteran listings and front-ended deals but they will be working in a very tight space. They need to off-load a player or two to free up the room for Tippett but they also want to keep their list structure. If the reports are true (that is, White has a year to go and is on around $300k) then White is the perfect player to trade out. He's a like-for-like with Tippett and frees up enough to bring Tippett in.

The Crows would be aware of these factors. They know Sydney, despite the bravado, are operating within some pretty tight margins.

There has to be more.

I'm tipping the Knights compo is the sweetner that Sydney need to save a bit of face when they offer up a name player like Rohan, Parker, Jetta or Lamb.

I don't think Sydney need to off load players to fit Tippett in IMO, didn't pay near the TPP & have Bradshaws 400K & Seaby's 350K off the books next year, also LRT going on the vetrans list. I think that if White went to Adelaide, Sydney might be picking up some of he's pay.

If your think the Knights compo pick ( likely round 3 ) is saving face for losing a player like Rohan, Parker, Jetta or Lamb you know nothing about the worth of players.

Some swans fan who's first post was on the Adelaide board telling us we are getting 22 + White + Parker
He/she didn't say that, all that was said was that they had heard that Parker may be involved. He/she didn't even say he might go to the crows let alone Parker+white+22

What if the extra player was going to another club?
