No mention in AFC's statement tonight regarding Edwardson, but given that each of Harper, Reid & Trigg have now appointed their own lawyers, it does potentially make Edwardson's position more difficult.

If he has already interviewed Reid & Trigg (at least) in a lawyer/client relationship, then taking on a potentially adversarial role when representing AFC at the AFL hearing may limit his effectiveness.

I'm somewhat surprised he hasn't stood down to avoid any potential conflict of interest or appearance thereof.

No mention in AFC's statement tonight regarding Edwardson, but given that each of Harper, Reid & Trigg have now appointed their own lawyers, it does potentially make Edwardson's position more difficult.

If he has already interviewed Reid & Trigg (at least) in a lawyer/client relationship, then taking on a potentially adversarial role when representing AFC at the AFL hearing may limit his effectiveness.

Like I said earlier, I believe the majority to be genuine given the level of interest this topic has garnered, it's completely understandable that some would seek out public forums to find out more information and check what others have to say. However with the anonymity that comes with such places I don't think it's completely unreasonable to think that some may not be who the say they are, independent of what their opinions may be.

Hooray, we get to lose draft picks in 2013, when they will likely be higher than Pick 20! Just when we thought those running the show down at Crowland couldn't screw us over any more.

Why should we lose a 1st round draft pick in 2013? - barring anything else major coming out, everything so far is on the low end of the scale and we have already lost at least pick 23 (the absolute minimum we would have received for Tippett) - alternatively market value say top 10 pick plus pick in the 20s.

I know that the AFC have stated that they will accept whatever penalties are imposed, however, IMO they should no longer meekly accept anything the AFL does to us. It has been proven time and time again that that approach simply means that the AFL keeps on screwing us over.
Fight them all the way through the courts and f*** Vlad/Anderson...

I think he's only just been briefed and would be surprised if he identified this from the outset and therefore sought more time to for everyone to tool up.
