Still a shock to open up the AFL and see the 'Tippett Walks' banner.
Geez, what's wrong with Adelaide? Is it the food? Is it the crazy guy(s) in Rundy Mall? Is it Elizabeth? Is it the lack of quality night-time entertainment establishments?

We need to know so we can keep other players. TELL US PLEASE!!!!!

Christ that's pissweak; 'friends for live' don't text each other that shit.

And if I was 'The Club' - I'd tell him to send his own email.

Looks like it was a bitter end the way he said "Incase the email gets lost" as in, the club said exactly that, you do your dirty work.

I know we sAy it every year but lets hope we use our position of strength and Maximise
Our return...

Good riddance you piece of garbage.

Another year and another player leaves...obviously no problem at the afc
Great culture my ass-

Not sure by what you mean as "not optimal"?

Just how many selections do you plan on using in the draft anyway?
Well we'd want a fair spread of draft picks, and ideally a top ten pick to use. Three consecutive picks at the end of the first round doesn't give much flexibility. 8 + 19 + 40 > 17 + 18 + 19 for example.

I'd say we use three picks + moving Crouch to the main list.

Makes me sick. So much for his position as an AFL recruiter being untenable.

Trigg needs to grow a pair, or **** off, and **** off quickly.

hold fire on that one, im giving him a week before I make up my mind on his conduct. if he never fronts them again, sure dog act, but just give it time to wash out i reckon

I have no doubt in my mind he knew he was leaving before heading up to Queensland to make an unemotional decision, and was only doing so because dealing with the ensuing fall out would be far easier for him than being here in Adelaide, where he'd have to front his teammates, the club, and the press.

We all obviously hate Davi$ now, but at least he showed some balls.

The aim here has to be, somehow, Jimmy Toumpas.

If we can get him for Tippett, even if it means we need to throw in a bit more, then we'll be clear winners out of this.

Toumpas will be an elite midfielder; no doubt in my mind.

In any case, its MoneyBall time.

No sense looking for a ready made Tippett replacement because there is nothing available. Sanderson has a chance now to confirm his preferred team structure and the Crows now have the trading ammunition and salary space to fill in the missing pieces. The Crows will be weaker if they go for a straight up replacement for Tippett (as no option is obviously on a par) but, instead they can use this to make the team stronger overall by upgrading several positions.

Can Tippett's departure be parlayed into a forward/resting ruck, small forward and outside mid or whatever else is deemed to be missing?

At a minimum, they need to find a source(s) for 40 goals, spot ruck duties and a contested forward marking option. Options to fill this may already be on the team, maybe not, but either way it won't cost $800K and Tippett's trade return to fill.

Yep. Many of us argued at the time how ridiculously swiftly the club acted on dumping Rendell. Threw the guy under the bus. So far, nothing has come out that doesn't support that. Stand up for your ****ing employees! So ****ing what how much we were pressured. There were always other options than "FIRE IMMEDIATELY."
Christ that still shits me. Can't believe he's with Collingwood.

Surely Gold Coast have more cap room to play with than has been suggested thus far? Wasn't Nathan Krakouer on ridiculous money before he quit?

I believe that we should be looking at Brad crouch's brother. If he really is as promising or better than Brad and we got him then with Danger and Sloan we would have an elite midfield for the next 10 years and probably no go home factor. We obviously would have to give up a lot but after watching Brad in the Prelim Sunday it just makes you exited by the prospects for next year. Also think that Gumbleton is worth a look. He can play and if he can stay healthy then the sky is the limit.

Don't know much about the other Crouch mate; but have you seen Toumpas play?

Would be perfect for our midfield.

They front loaded the contracts for one thing..
Then each year, their salary cap decreases over a 5 year period until it's at the same level as other clubs..
They also don't want to chew up too much as they need to keep the young talent..
