No wonder there's so many stupid rumours out there. Just listening to Dumb and Dumber on 5aa as they say things like "GWS won't pick up Tippett in the draft they have their heart set on Lachie Whitfield".

Then there's trade radio. Great quantity, crap quality for rumours. They get about 1 in 10 right and then constantly advertise how smart they are.

Don't stress about all the rumours, we all know how this will end.

Everything I've heard about all this is saying Tippetts gone to Sydney. Who have they got to give us I can't see anything on their list we would want. If we can't get a deal done he is just going to go GC for free. He has seriously f****d us over. We have to be the most agressive at the trade table like never before. If it was me I would demand pick 2 and what ever they get in the Caddy deal. F**k I'm angry:mad::thumbsdown:
Luke Parker

Good in depth article on our website now re Noble's expectations etc...

List Manager David Noble says Adelaide won’t be rushed into striking a deal for Kurt Tippett.

Tippett informed the Crows of his decision to leave West Lakes on Monday, but is still yet to notify the Club where he intends to play his football next season.

Gold Coast and Carlton have both publicly expressed an interest in signing the Queenslander. He has also been linked to Sydney, but the Swans are yet to publicly confirm or deny their interest.

Noble said he expected to have a better feel for the situation later in the week, adding that Adelaide would take its time to secure the best-possible outcome for the Club.

Our supporters and fans need to know that we think our list is in really good shape. This is disappointing, but come pre-season Sando is going to have them cracking in again.

“Our club will survive without Kurt Tippett in it and we’ll be stronger and better and get as good a deal as we can.”

Tippett has been linked to a return to his native Queensland since signing his previous contract three years ago. Noble said he would be disappointed if it turned out the powerful goalkicker wasn’t headed ‘home’.

“It would be a disappointing way for Kurt to leave our footy club,” Noble said.
“We’ve worked extremely hard to develop him and maintain an environment where he can flourish … to walk away under those circumstances … maybe he’ll look back one day and regret it. It’s not a great feel for us.

“Having worked with Kurt, I know he has at times struggled with his ability to make decisions and work his way through certain situations. So, I have to take him on face value (that he only made his decision last weekend). There were some weeks where he’s been around and we’ve thought, ‘Yes, he’s definitely going to stay’ and then other weeks where you think, ‘crikey, he’s going to go’ and that’s being brutally honest.”

Noble also said it was “unlikely” Adelaide would be in the market for any of the available free agents

Maybe it's not really an issue with retaining players, it's just in this day in age the most recent adult generation was brought up with a bit too much entitlement and want everything and anything how they like it? In cities with everything at their fingertips, parents giving them everything they want, and so on. Of course everyone is allowed to have their own opinions and choices, but you can also choose not to be a douche in the way you go around it.

I don't see many SA boys kicking up a fuss or disrespecting friends and fans about wanting to come home. Jacobs wasn't being utilized, and was probably asked "what would you like to do?". Possibly why a lot of clubs go after SA boys too.

Would give a lot more evidence to the mummys boy thing with Gunston, and if Tippett really is that close with his family.

I know that's a very wide stab at it, but psychology does play a role in everything, whether people recognise it or not.

And it would be impossible to of seen much from interstate except for a glimpse early last year and a couple of quarters vs Port in the first showdown... But he is a kid in a mans body.. Give him time to mature. By 24-25 we will have one of the best 2ndruck/forwards in the league. He is as strong as an ox, the only 18-19 year old kid in SANFL I have ever seen manhandle SANFL ruckman like Parry-Cranston etc And he is a matchwinner. All he needs is a spot he is comfortable in and some love.
Patty Dangerfield's words give this "knocker"/me a glimpse of hope Freddy!!

Just wish he hadn't used the Corey word!!

Gonna be a bitter pill to swallow but!! :D

“Shaun McKernan is another. We haven’t seen a huge amount of Shaun because he’s been struck down by injuries over the past three seasons. Shaun’s an incredibly talented player, who can do some special things similar to what his brother (Corey) did when he was playing. If we can get him injury free, he’s someone Crows fans can look forward to seeing.”

This is almost an exact quote of the 5aa interview. More meaningless words, we will negotiate hard, we will accept the best deal possible.
He's not going to be inflammatory to other clubs in public

Have you ever heard "If anyone touches one of our players we will declare war on them"
No because everyone knows they're hollow words
Only that black & white president has says it .....but we know of their inability to attract players over the last decade

I'd rather the silent ruthless approach rather than schoolyard bully approach

See over on the GCS board Channel 9 up there have reported Gaza Junior has been on the phone to $Kurt$ trying to convince him to join the Suns.

More window dressing??? :)
and absolutely no verification of any rumour .......this is better than robstein :p

if Kurt goes to Sydney then I would be asking for Luke Parker who was the sub in the grand Final. He is a Dan Hannebary clone and at the start of the year was killing it for the Swans and then had the injury mid year and when he came back and didnt have the fitness base they played him as the Sub in the last 4 games. Believe me Parker will be a better player than Kurt will ever be. Here are some highlight for the Adelaide supporters. Gary Rohan would be good but he has had one of those horrific injuries ( bad break of leg)that I have not seen other sports stars not been able to recover from and come back the exact same player for eg Nathan Brown and the ex Arsenal striker Eduardo so too high risk

He dominated Port Adelaide in round 3. Was BOG, but he's a pretty similar type to players you already have. Can't see Adelaide wanting him ahead of someone like Rohan.

Nathan Buckley was what 15+ years ago under a contract with the Bears that enabled him to go to any club of choice

The rest are certainly NOT big fish that Collingwood have chased over the years ....iam talking tier 1 players not minows

No way you'll get Parker ....and we seriously don't need him with Crouch coming on board

No need for more inside mids ....need outside speed as we got beaten often this year on the outside

Rohan would be perfect !!
