that's what happens when you try and act like you know better than anyone else when really you're just sitting in your room on your computer trying to guess what's really going on like everyone else....secret source my a**

He may well have had a source. Things change. Tippett has definitely played the club - certainly since July. Neither of my contacts - who SHOULD have known what was happening, had a clue. They thought he might go, probably to a qld club. They were guessing as much as any of us.

Think we might be in the ear of Brisbane and just say keep some room spare for Kurt as we might have trouble coming to terms with Sydney. There might be more to the saga yet. Kurt may accept a trade to Brisbane rather than the unknown of the PSD if Sydney don't play ball.

The problem is neither the Lions or US can afford to sit around just in case, we have to do the best for our clubs during the trade period and that means spending $$$$$$

So, I'd hope Dangerfield, Walker and Sloane have done the same thing. It's good financial management to invest in property is thriving environment that will allow for a good return of investment.

I didn't pass judgement, just reported what was said.

Melbourne would be stupid to do that, Sydney would also be stupid to pass it on. You guys would be laughing.

Not sure there's a way to make you guys happy without giving up a premiership player, doing that a month after it happened is a shocking decision, and one that goes against the image we've built the club upon.

Given that most of your best 22 are now premiership players, I would say you're right, there is no way to make us happy without trading us one. Just being a premiership player doesn't make them any better than they were before though. A Keating, L Davis say hi.

The facts of it are this. Adelaide is losing a best 18 player, who was pretty much BOG in the prelim. Yes, there are issues with concussions, but if we're trading one of our first 18, we expect to receive something quality in return, preferably a player to fill one of our needs, or a very high draft pick.

Please explain why Melbourne would be stupid to trade pick 4 for Hannebury? If I was a Melbourne supporter, I would definitely consider that. Sydney don't lose out in trading Hannebury for Tippett, and Adelaide get the kind of draft pick we're after.

Melbourne are probably paying slight overs for Hannebury, but not by much.

Get over it AFGM, come back son.....

Actually, I'd like to see AFGM man up - unlike Tippett. You made your bed, and you got things wrongs. Big deal. You'll earn more respect by owning up to a stuff up than running away.

In fairness to Tippett, I don't think he was having a crack at the Crows' footy culture, he was just talking about Swans' much-vaunted culture which we hear about all the ******* time.
And how is Kurt Figjam Tippett going to fit in with that? Lol

Rohan's injury nearly turns me off.

But if he gets cleared by the medical staff would probably not say no. And hope like hell he can get back to what he was.

Would nearly rather that then a glass jaw anyway.

No doubt but like most things in trade week they don't have to happen till the last day. I'm sure you will work on the Caddy deal and that will eat up some time. Bugger it I would be willing to have the Crows pitch in the difference to stop him getting to Sydney. I don't hate Sydney but they are a direct competitor foe the next few years, and Kurt shouldn't get it all his way for a bag of potato chips.

If Sydney won't deal then **** him and take your chances in the PS draft you flog and your manager is the biggest flog of the highest order.

I do think Sydney will try to deal, but as already mentioned they don't have much to bargain with and 22 and Grundy won't get it done.
Looking through their list though a Hannebery, Jack, Jetta, Reid, Rohan and Kennedy are one's you would say, the rest is BS. What picks have they got....nada.

Tippett is the biggest flog is AFC history.

Firstly to say the rest of the swans list is BS is a joke really ....................teams dont win flags with a team made up of BS players.

As for the whole Tippett saga In all honesty I hope he doesn't end up In Sydney as I think he is one of the most over rated talls in the game and very inconsistent, one good game here and there. At least with Grundy we get consistency week in week out. He finished 7th on our B&F. I doubt Tippet would have been in the top 15 ?

As A footy fan (please dont take this the wrong way as It is not meant as a dig at Adelaide) why every year do players want to leave Adelaide. Sando looks to have changed the culture but something must have been missing big time in recent years.

Geeez...i'm even as mad as Hell that Tipprat chose Sydney....hope you guys get a good swap from the swans!......:footy:

Gold Coast have come out and said now that Tippett is out of their plans, they are happy with the talls that they have and will proceed with their alternative plans for their team list that they had as back-up.

As Rucci said, they are now out of the equation and are prepared only to pick up Tippett for free in the PSD.

What Rucci didn't say is whether Gold Coast are prepared to pay the money that Tippett will be getting from Sydney or indeed if they will have the capacity to do that.

The PSD could end up scarier for Tippett than he thinks - hello Freo, West coast, Carlton etc.

This is all good.

Facts

Tippo is over rated. Once top 10 in our B&f and 15th last night which might improve to about 10th with less concussions
Paying him 800k per year is too much, frees up money and mainly doesn't cause team disharmony by our 7th best player maybe getting twice as much as the top 6
Syd have to trade to get him, big time. Can't get cheap in PSD
Mainly though he is an inverse moneyball player, worth a lot but doesn't deliver all that much. Best of all footy is reactive and his last game was terrific. Puts his value up, never mind that Beinke would take 14 marks on Shoenmaker

Trades can be big wins. Take Stenglein for example. Wanted to go him, we got pick 12,28 pinched Thommo from Port with 12 got a 10 year star. Time to do a similar deal and watch Tippo kick 34 goals in Syd in 2013 while earning the less money he could have in Adelaide when cost of living applied

I don't think Hannebery is worth pick number 4, sure would be well worth that if his kicking stays as accurate as was in the grand final, but considering the 24 weeks prior he was absolute shocking kick clubs would be wary about him. I love the guy, even if pick 4 was on the table, wouldn't trade him. He brings so much character and confidence to the club. Just one of those people that every clubs needs to have.

I understand that you're trading a good player, which is why I'm reluctant for us to accept the deal. Would hate to lose a premiership player 2 weeks after the fact. It's disrespectful.

Interesting note I just watched the f6 key on my lighted keyboard die out. Was quite amusing.

He's just earnt himself a reputation as an absolute ho and he won't be able to shake it....
