You don't have to draft him, just don't make it known that you wont draft him. It has to be to our advantage for Sydney to not be sure what we would do if it got to that stage. I can't see that it's going to get to that, but you should keep some cards close to your chest.

I just think it would be so unbelievable. Hardly worth saying...
The club needs to move on and build the best possible list we can by end of trade period. I wouldn't want a fully committed Kurt on a million dollars a year yet alone a Kurt forced back here...
And what is said on 5aa means Jack Squat... It is what is said face to face with Sydney that really counts.
We would be threatening to send him to PSD, no doubt. But he would not last to our pick anyway... So what is the point of trying to impress dumband dumber by saying " we will pick him up?"... Club needs to move on

Also, people need to realise clubs don't just focus on the one deal for the whole period. I have no doubt we would already be in talks with other clubs regarding Giles, Pears etc. Once the Tippett deal is done, those will be finalised quick smart, happens every year when a club is dealing with a major trade.

Having recently bought a place, it occurred to me that if a club really wanted to pay a player more but do it off the books, all they have to do really is pay for most of their living expenses etc

Apparently a common trick that was done in the 90s in Victoria was that Player A would buy a house and the sponsor would then pay way overs for the house, and bingo there is an extra $100k, all legal too!!!!!

Obviously a lot easier to do that in Melbourne and Sydney and Brisbane than here.

but now there is CGT and it would be easy for the AFL to trace the money flow?

Put this on our board. Probably crap but what you think?

Melbourne recieve pick 8 & karnezis.
Brisbane recieve Jetta & 22.
Sydney recieve 19 and Tippett.
Adelaide recieve pick 4.

Not too bad, but very hard to see Jetta leaving though. Probably the fairest I've seen in a while.

Want to know the best way to screw our club?

Pick up Tippett in the PSD... Would be amazing for team harmony:thumbsu:
And pay him a million bucks a year- even better

Noble was just speaking sense

I dont want tippet anymore he screwed us bigtime.
Rather we get nothing for him in the PSD than bring him back.

Great to hear from Noble.:thumbsu: The key quotes I took out of the article I read were:

http://www.afc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/4417/newsid/149527/default.aspx

Yeah, lets redraft Kurt guys, what a great idea that would be. Noble is spot on. The club obviously isn't happy with him and don't want it affecting our team going forwards, pretty logical is you ask me.

Seems like the FA compensation is the thing massively delaying things. Can the AFL get anything right? Seriously!
Great write up

PSD threat still there but if GC and Brisbane have moved on (allocated cash elsewhere) it just leaves us and Sydney. Who else has has a spare 800k? Cornsey is making his first good point in about 2 years we don't actually have to redraft him we just need to convince Sydney that we will. Why would Sydney offer us anything more than 22 and spud?

Carlton. I think people tend to forget that Fevola was on a huuuuge contract, and they haven't really recruited anybody who would command a big salary since his departure. I'd be very surprised if they hadn't been front ending a lot of contracts to build a war chest (**** I hate that term) further down the line. Not to mention the ridiculous VISY deal for captain eye gouge. They were reportedly into Goddard, and even more into Cloke. If they had the cash to pick up those guys, they've got the cash to grab Tippett.

In the interest of your wellbeing do not post this on the Swans board.:p

i'd rather have Jetta than pick 4. Jetta isnt going anywhere he was one of the best players this year for Sydney.

Yeah, bad, bad idea. Funnily enough that would be a net lose on goals if we take tallies for this year

Whilst I'd love Jetta, he's exactly the kind of player you'll want roaming around your forward line with Tippett there.

If Jetta was going to move, why wouldn't he come straight to the Crows?

Tippett for Jetta would be a much easier outcome.

Saying that, I don't think he will leave Sydney.

We've heard some names floated around as possible trade options out of Sydney but not necessarily To Adelaide. eg Rohan, Parker and now T.Mitchell
Do you know who's most likely to be the Key (player) in this Saga and do we know which lock (Vic/GWS Club) they might fit in?

Cat's have officially got Caddy. Hopefully this makes GHS question his position with them. :):thumbsu:

Sorry, I know this question has been asked and answered before but have the Crows even shown any interest in the guy?

sense would have been saying how the boys are looking forward to another year with kurt and that they are all sure that there won't be any problems. 1 kick away from a gf against the team that was 1 kick away from the flag. we've got room in the cap, kurt is a professional, so it's full steam ahead for getting the big fella back in the club.
