Noble is on 5AA now, must say I'm not overly confident of this ending well. Asked about Mitchell, wont go into it at all but wont use the threat of redrafting Kurt to get a better deal. Stupid attitude to take and Im glad Studley gave him a hard time about it.

Luke Thompson has signed.

Nothing else really to it.

Noble says we wont redraft Kurt under any circumstance. What a ****ing pussy. We will get screwed. Shit attitude.

Empty threat, at this stage pretty much all clubs could have a crack at him in either the national or pre-season drafts.

Here are three questions I would like to ask Adelaide fans about Kurt Tippett. It comes from the fact that I read that Sydney tried to offer Jesse White for Tippett, and was rejected by Adelaide (fair enough).

My questions are:-

(1) What would you be realistically happy to receive from Sydney for Kurt Tippett. Now, I know you would like, say, Adam Goodes, but that won't happen.

So, what do you think will end up being the most satisfactory deal you can get from this?

2) Sydney don't have a top ten draft pick, so do you think they can give you something you want (player and picks), or will a third club need to be involved (to get you a top ten draft pick, for example).

3) Would you be happy to refuse whatever Sydney offer, just to spite Tippett for lying to you, and not give him what he wants, by sending him into the draft? Or would you prefer to get a deal done?

That bit is actually good news.

Can I suggest with pick 22 you get a gorilla and play him only when the Crows meet the Swans and have him smash Tippett on the noggin from first siren to last. Just a constant, biff......................................................biff................................................biff............................................biff..............................biff............................biff...........................................biff, I would predict tears

Better still, Crows keep pick 22, slip me a couple of grand in a brown paper bag and i'll magically ensure Tiprat is kneecapped (after he is signed up by Sydney). win/win/win

Just that we won't redraft him? Or we won't send him to psd altogether. Can understand we would redraft but removing psd threat is weak.

I really don't care what Sydney have to do to get this ***** trade over the line. I just hope they don't drag it out much longer than this week...we've got money burning a hole in our pocket to spend.

The Crows have to looking for either a top 10 pick from someone or 22 and a young up and comer from the Swans or whoever. I like the idea of involving GWS somehow as once more they have the top three picks FFS! Getting Giles and pick 2 would be how quick can we sign? Mitchell would be good as well, but getting a home grown talent like Toumpas would be a better scenario.

This thread will be 500 pages long before they make a **** decision.

The question is, do we go out and look for another ready-to-go key defender as insurance, or are we going to back in our current stable of key defenders and look at only guys purely from a development perspective?

Could have sworn there was another thread covering this very topic already!? Must have gotten lost or something...

PSD threat still there but if GC and Brisbane have moved on (allocated cash elsewhere) it just leaves us and Sydney. Who else has has a spare 800k? Cornsey is making his first good point in about 2 years we don't actually have to redraft him we just need to convince Sydney that we will. Why would Sydney offer us anything more than 22 and spud?

Crows are trying to get a couple of sydneys talented players traded to other clubs Mitchell is one.
Its gonna be multi-club trade.
We will be ok, take it easy guys.

Some of you guys would make the worst negotiators seriously :D

Serious question...do you think we're any chance of getting Pendlebury, Franklin and Watson for Tippett?

Fair enough :thumbsu:

But posters here are saying he is an inside mid, while we really need an outside mid (hence Toumpas)

On that point, why include a Melb club, and not GWS for pick 3? Again it depends where he sits in relation to the other blokes in this years draft...
This

Tippett plus player for Giles plus pick 3. Afterall GWS is on Tippett's home town Sydney.
