It's really starting to shit me how we as a group of supporters believe everything that is printed in the media, and turn on our club at the first opportunity. Seriously? Writing a letter to the club because you've heard a rumour? Threatening to not renew memberships?

Nothing has happened in the past few days of Trade Week. The Media needs a story ... let's get on the Tippett story because there's 500k South Aussies and 1 million Sydneysiders who will lap it up.

Facts
- we still have more than a week of Trade Week left, and more than the entire Trade Week last year.
- FA compensation picks haven't been announced.
- 4 days ago Noble was "quoted" saying that the AFC would send Tippett to the PSD if a suitable deal wasn't able to be done.
- GWS and Carlton have expressed interest in Tippett through the PSD, and can fit him in their TPP.
- recent AFC trading has had a net benefit to our club (arguable, Tambling no, everything else, yes).

Rumours
- Jesse White doing a medical and meeting with Sando.
- Noble has an IQ of 85, and every poster on Big Footy is smarter than he is.
- Noble isn't saying anything publicly because he has a red and white ball gag in his mouth.
- Everything else we are talking about

Are there any other facts I've missed? If not, I'll take the facts over the rumours any day of the (Trade) week.

The Rendell saga wasn't an overreaction, It was quick decisive action and should be applauded

Thats what I thought too, until I heard the full story...

But why include him in the trade at all? White + 23 is a worse deal than pick #23 on its own.

possibly someone sees something in him? he's still a big guy, big guys <25 always still have potential in my eyes. it doesn't really hurt us to have some depth too, does it?

... am loving this thread, we are right back where we started on day 1. It's great to see how passionate footy can make all of us at times. Yeah sure its good to go over possibilities but thats all they at this stage.

If the AFL would just hurry up and release the damn FA compo picks then the recruiters can start working on and finalizing some deals. Surely after these picks are given out is when most recruiters will start to take the game seriously because they finally have a full hand of cards to play with.

Thank goodness this will all be over come Friday next week, Jesse White will still be a Swan, the Crows will have sent Kurt to the PSD and Noble will still have a job....Am I doing it right?

Any possibility that there's more in this trade for Adelaide than we think?

Perhaps the Crows have agreed to take White and pay his $300k which helps Sydney fit Tippo in and give them room to breathe - and in return Sydney are going to give us something more?

22 + White + X <--> Tippett + salary cap relief + a pick

Who? The supporters or the club?
The club. See my previous post. We said in the media only 8 days ago that we dont want him. That is what a lot of us are reacting to (others think he is cr@p but I dont know enough to comment). Also I think we all know enough about our list to know that this is not the type of player that we have a shortage of.

Whether you think we are being dudded or not, IF we get White, what would it do to the poor kids confidence, to come out in public and say wow what a shit house deal.

And are crows fans really that fickle that one trade will cause you to cancel your membership?

If we get White, I will support him like I do with every player, and remain positive that we can get the most out of them and play to their strengths. I expect, and hope that the club would come out and promote Jesse...they have to! Call me unrealistic, but I am a big fan of McKernan, and I still think Tambling has something to offer, and until J.White proves to me otherwise, I will remain upbeat about him.

What I will not do, is put up with the fact that Noble et al really ballsed this one up. Jesse White would not think that he, himself was worth Kurt Tippett, and he would know how much of an uphill battle he has ahead of him. It is not his fault at all that he has been placed in this situation. He is simply a battling footballer, looking for any break he can get to salvage an AFL career. If Tippett was out of the equation, and we got J.White for a 3rd or 4th round pick, i'd be optimistic. The reality is, we have been short changed for one of our best players, who should command 2 first round picks.

Fans threatening to cancel their membership - In the words of Andrew Gaze, "Turn it up!!!"

It's not one trade though, that's the problem

Go back and look at our deals for Hudson and Gunston. The offer for Tippett is as insulting as the Hudson one was. We wore the Hudson trade back in the day yet here we are again at groundhog day with other club digging their heels in an attempt to once again bluff us again to take huge unders.

The more the club allow players to simply go to the club of their choosing by accepting shit trades the more it perpetuates the problem and we'll find ourselves in this position over and over again every year. You only have to look over the amount of players that has walked out on this club in the last 10 years to see that the club's meek approach to trading is creating a rod for our own back.

Only just <25 - turns 25 in January, long before the season begins.

As I have said repeatedly before.. He's a Great White Hoax - a player who never lived up to the potential he never really showed.

That many of you are threatening to hand in your membership if the deal goes ahead.

Yep so many will hand in their ticket and if Jessie kicks 4-5 in round 1 they will ve jumping on board as quickly as they jumped off

Ireland "We'll give you pick 22 and Jesse White for Tippett"

Noble "No, we want more than pick 22 and White"

Ireland "Sorry that's all we are offereing"

Noble "Are you sure that you cant offer any us something better ?"

Ireland "No, that's our final offer"

Noble "Okay, WE'LL TAKE IT !!!!!"

You take this deal and next year, guess which one of the below you are during trade week

If we need depth of his ilk we can pick up some of the taller backpackers from hostels.
We could use some Stephan A. Smith rundowns on this guy. Kwame Brownesque reply.

Ok must have missed that. Can you shoot me a quote from the club regarding it.

Congratulations has to go to Kurt and his management, to be a $1M player and playing at a club that just won the flag is just brilliant work by his manager. Kudos to him. If the cards fall the way they should he will have selected his club of choice with his contract of choice. His manager will be applauded and he will probably secure more signings as a result of his good work. To engineer this trade was brilliant work.

I feel sense of sadness and betrayal for the AFC. Congratgulations to them for trying to stand strong and firm, but what little choice did they have.

If Kurt wanted to go to ONLY Hawthorn, we would have been in a position of power, even back to his homestate (which apparently isnt QLD anymore).

I think the Crows will be a lot more wiser and smarter for this and watch out to the next player that tries to shaft us.

In hindsight the error was probably not trading Kurt last year, then again hindsight is a wonderful thing.

If this pick 22+White deal goes ahead, we as supporters and the AFC will be a laughing stock and subject of ridicule for the next decade, similar to the Freo Groom/Mcleod trade, only difference being Freo did not know Mcleods value when they traded him.

This would never happen at Collingwood, like him or not Eddie wouldnt allow it, he is a strong vocal leader who does not let anyone get one over his club. The AFC on the other hand refuse to take a strong stance on anything, we have a bunch of soft paper pushing administrators with too much of a self preseravtion attitude.

We can remove "uncompromising" from our motto too!

Just think about the AFC accepting this trade makes me feel sick, even worse thanb losing a prelim by 5 points.

Do people think it likely that Sydney may do something with GWS to offer us another draft 1 pick so say:

13,22 and Jessica White?
Anyone able to respond to my question here. Surely it is more that 22 and White as its taking a long time. Would thins be acceptable? Would give us 3 picks in the top 25.

I'll tell you a fact I'm very interested in: What are David Noble's qualifications and experience as a negotiator?

I'm willing to suspend judgement until a deal is done, but when the dust has settled we really need to discuss whether he is the best negotiator the club could possibly employ.

What are yours that you should be able to judge his in the first place?

This might be a stupid question but does Tippett himself have to approve the trade?
