A bunch of us were really filthy for Sydney trading him last year (Not that it really makes a huge difference now...)

I just really rate him as a player (And he was superb in the SANFL this year)

Trigg has been overseas for a few weeks. During this time he has demanded he be completely cut-off from all football related contact.
I believe he returns on the 22nd of October (4 days).
Hence he has been away through all of the negotiations (he is never involved in this) and will return as Trade time ends.
Sando has also been away.
It makes me laugh when people blame Trigg or declare that Sando will make the right call. We have people who do list management and it isn't Trigg or Sanderson.

Sydney gain: Tippett, Adelaide Third (or second) rounder; lose: Parker, White, 22

Carlton gain: McKernan, Parker; lose: 11

Adelaide gain: 11, 22, White; lose: McKernan, Tippett, third (or second) rounder.

I say second rounder as we won't use it anyway.

I'd say just leave McKernan and Carlton out of it. I'd rather McKernan AND Parker than pick 11.

I'm hoping that Sydney knows that 22 and White isn't enough, and adelaide is being stronger than appears in negotiations, and last weeks rumours of players being shopped around were true.

As I say every post in this thread - I'm still massively concerned about what went down in 2009. Seems like Rowe/Roo/others are starting to learn something? Whatever it is, I just hope it comes to light. We cannot beg players to stay that don't want to be here. Make's you wonder if Cunston took off knowing the club had some dirt on their hands over handling Tips resigning in 2009. I hope I'm wrong but 10/11 we had a team full of guys who struggled to find motivation at times... what was Rowe's quote, 'Sold the soul of the football club?' Imagine a guys saying, 'I'm going home boys.. GC already offered me a mint.... <a few weeks later> Actually decided to stay.. canyou believe they gave me $xxx and are going to help me get 'home' when I'm done this contract, even if they lose out on the trade??'. (or similar). Would sure as shit make me want to bomb it on the ****ers head and hope he gets crunched

In all seriousness - can't wait to see this all done with details made public as necessary for the supporters to appreciate why things have gone down the way they have (not that we know that part yet).

I keep some confidence we'll get better than 22/23. Some.

There is no way the club would have let Reid, as he was leaving and he was leaving as there wasn't alot of respect for him (rumours), do a deal that wasn't given a thorough review by Trigg and other relevant folk.

Looks to me he may well have been right all the way other than club choice which nobody saw coming. He certainly was accurate in predicting the level of the trade deal and no one would be happy.

I live in Sydney guys...hows the media over there? Is there a sense of backlash brewing and are media identities like Roo, cornesy etc putting pressure on the club to please explain?

Never seen you this mad ........you've always been level headed in views on the club, so what we're doing must really have rubbed you the wrong way
