We need something to deflect criticism of the Jesse White trade.

Trading for Graham is genius.

Will fracture the critics into four categories - those angry about White, those angry about Graham, those angry about White & Graham, and those who wish we'd kept Neil.

Prevents any strong, coordinated, targeted criticism from the fan base.

I was wondering why you had been so quiet on this thread but now I know. The last two posts of yours I have read have been absolute gold. Laughing out loud at work can only be a good thing!

Do we have a choice other than to back McKernan in to "grow a pair" (as you put it) given Tippett's departure? None of the other options are remotely good enough as a second ruck...
Neither is McKernan. Therein lies the problem.

You can debate the rest of your post cos the jury is out on McKernan whether he will boom or bust but we probably won't even use a 2nd round pick this year so you're just giving him away despite being under contract.
There is that, I guess. Mind you, trading him away would open up another position on our senior list - so we could be going into the 2nd round after all.

My 15 year old son is 193 and still growing, no vertical leap and a lumbering type...... He can take a hell of a contested mark though and use his body in a pack. Can the Crows use him?
Sounds better than the oxygen thief they just traded picks for.

They're just reading bigfooty. I'm going insane.
If 3pm is Bolton retiring, I'll be pissed.
So will I, a 300 game legend who always played hard but fair

No offense to Angus and Jesse as I’m sure they are good blokes but ffs ... if the AFC do these deals this will go down as the greatest self troll in the history of trading. Receiving nothing is actually better than trading in Angus and Jesse in this case, so why would we even entertain the thought of taking on two list cloggers? It just doesn’t make any sense. These rumors just seem so unbelievable that they can’t possibly be true so I’m holding fire until something is officially announced.

He's slow but can read the play.... and makes the effort......

I just hope he grows 200+ cm because he is too lumbering at 193 to ruck.. Great stay at home forward.... Just got to sell it to the Crows. He won't even need to be paid.....

So amer. Not sure how you can decipher this post as me saying he's staying. I've said he was leaving since this time last year at trade period.

I also stated that Gold Coast can't afford what Brisbane was paying which is still true. What none of us knew is that Sydney were coming over the top (guess we all assumed he was 'going home' at that time)

Nah you posted sometime earlier this year the exact words "Tippett will stay"

Not knocking you mind, your mail is generally good.

The living allowance is fair.. Our rent prices are higher, fuel, food, beer.. It is the only thing people have to whinge about. The Swans manage their list well and thats it..

Fuel isn't higher. Food isn't higher. Rent is higher compared to Adelaide, but it is within $20 a week or so of Perth and Melbourne.

The cost of purchasing real estate is higher, but that shouldn't be counted. You can invest your money wherever you like, you don't have to invest it in real estate in the city that you're working.

Parker to Carlton/Gws we get that pick either 11 or 12 then go into draft with 11/12 and 19 and 22 graham good backup we won't end up with Jesse White

If we trade McKernan then we really have lost the plot. Its a bloody joke!
Depends what we trade him for. If the offer is too good to refuse, then we would be negligent not to consider. Anyway, we've got Angus Graham now, who needs him!!! Ha ha....

Are we seriously trading McKernan?

This club is completely ****ed. In the space of two trade table discussions we'll have dragged ourselves another 10 years away from even looking at a grand final.

OUT:
Doughty, Tippett, Symes, Tambling, McKernan, Knights
IN:
Crouch, Callinan, Jesse White, Angus Graham, pick 11, 20, 23.
Is that math right? Are we getting one more "in" than "out"? Is it a veteran list thing??

Are we seriously trading McKernan?

This club is completely screwed. In the space of two trade table discussions we'll have dragged ourselves another 10 years away from even looking at a grand final.

If we can get 11 for McKernan, that's a win.

These trades would just say that we see Walker/Jenkins/Johnston as our starting three forwards, and I'm okay with that.

The Graham trade is meh. They obviously think he's better for the final spot on our list as "SANFL ruckman" than Wood, Orrenson, Stefan Martin and Currie, all of which you could get.
