SuperCoach Rd 7 SC Talk - Trade Talk - Capt/VC ,//, AFL Fantasy Rd 7 AFF Talk - AF Trades - Capt/VC
Agreed. Only difference possibly be that he had the team wrong. The later this goes, the less AFGM could be wrong.
Sorry, I was taking the piss to a certain degreeHe never said anything like that. He said Beatson was looking forward to doing well at the draft and Wallace started chortling after assuming it meant that no picks would be traded at all.

Hallelujah.They're probably right.
It's one of the reasons they're throwing so much money at Tippett I reckon. Means they're the only horse in the race so will be able to get him cheap. Hence the dud offer.
It's not Sydney getting him for nothing. Its them getting the return for giving him such a huge salary. They've paid for the right to screw us.
Doesn't help us any but Sydney aren't obliged to up their offer just because we don't think it's fair. They only need to give up what it will cost them to get him, nothing more.

Have a look at Wallace's pictures on his twitter account. Sydney has the lowest success rate in converting draft picks into 5+ year players.Sydney has a couple of 19-year-old key defenders on their list (Jordan Lockyer & Alex Brown). I'm surprised their names haven't been mentioned more in terms of getting this freakin' Tippett trade over the line. Can Swans fans enlighten us on their respective abilities?
Collingwood board lighting up with talk the Reid move is still on for their 17 and 18.
I'm sure they'd like that, but I don't see how 17 and 18 gets it done for a very contracted Reid.

Stats and Rules are definately your niche.Where possible I quote the rules.. For example, in this case, para 4.5.2 of the AFL Player Rules document - which says that Sydney are actually screwing themselves if Tippett goes in to the PSD and they try to backload his contract.
Stats and Rules are definately your niche.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.![]()

Maybe they are offering 17 or 18 to Sydney for Parker? Would they have a need for him? Then 17/18 and 23 for KT. Would that be acceptable?Agreed. And 17 - 18 is no huge improvement for us either. Better, but not dance in the street better
Everyone has their calling. Not that there's anything wrong with that.![]()

So we get 11 for Tippett (unders) and on top of that give up our first rounder AND Mckernan for a couple of shitty nothing picks we wont even use?Would this work
Adelaide lose Tppett, 21, McKernan
Adelaide Gain pick 11, 23, 36,56
Sydney lose Parker, 23
Sydney Gain Tippett
Carlton lose 11,36,56
Carlton gain parker, McKernan 21
No way would Sydney do Reid for 17 and 18. He's contractedThey seem to be saying 17/19 for Reid. Clearly thats better that 23 and White.
Anyway i posted that info for no other reason than to refer people to a discussion which may affect us. Some on the Collingwood board are buying it but some arent. Its just one of a pile of rumours doing the rounds
but seriously, it would never happen. The rumour is based on Sam Reid being seen at the Westpac Centre. It kind of fell apart when someone pointed out he's currently overseas..No way would Sydney do Reid for 17 and 18. He's contractedbut seriously, it would never happen.

I saw Buddy Franklin at AAMI stadium...It was probably Ben Reid anyway.
Correct. Players delisted by List Lodgement 1 have their own Free Agency period, prior to the closing of nominations for the ND. I think it's safe to say that their clubs won't be compensated should they be signed by a new club. Was listening to an interview on SEN on the way home tonight with the head of the aflpa.
He was saying that players who are delisted will be treated as free agents and can go where they like.
I think the timing of things is important.
