Don't you remember we went to the afl. Was that just to have a cup of tea.
No, the AFL came to us, we opened the doors for them. You still haven't shown me the letter yet, are you sure EQ didn't make it up to boost her Twitter followers.

AFL have gagged AFC, whilst the are selectively leaking info to The Age/Media. It's now obvious with the NVB issue as you say the Tippett camp would not know of this.

AFL are denying natural justice. Will be interesting to see what our lawyer makes of this.

Yep...my thinking is that if we have clearly breached the AFL rules (if...not accepting this until proven) then our angle will be a more substantive argument ie that the proceedings themselves are in some way illegal. Of course a major pillar of natural justice is reasonable apprension of bias or actual bias. Media could be an issue as could the AFL playing legislator, prosecutor and judge.

There will be an angle and we will be on the front foot. I can assure anyone of that.

The AFL sometimes are a joke.

Has a decision been made on the MFC tanking issue?
I can't see how Melbourne can get penalised for tanking, even if they admit it. In a competition where there is no "2nd division" the current format of the competition can't prevent sides from throwing matches.

Its my understanding that pleading ignorance is no defence. So how this will work will be interesting. If Tippett didnt know then he has shit advisors.

The AFL can not let him off with the excuse that he knew nothing about it otherwise it sets a precedent for any future incidents. Tippet needs to be punished along with the Crows.

Where have you been. Trigg and Chapman went to the afl to "confess". The afl then came to us and went through our books and took away our computers.

honestly, do you read romance books or something?

Trigg went to the AFC to raise the possibilty that an agreement was illegal.

Now we are about to find out if indeed it was, given we are charged we have to assume the AFL think it is on face value, the severity of the breach and if we can explain our position or minimise the fall out.

Actually I'm pretty sure his favourite movie is Jerry Maguire. I know his favourite quote is definitely from that movie. 5 bonus points for the first person to guess the line!

'show me the........clause where I get a trade to the club of my choice for a second round draft pick'

And show me in writing.

So, how many other people are at the point where they don't care what the AFL do to us, they just want this whole mess to be over?

I'm not quite there yet, but I don't think I'm too far off it.
I started photoshopping pictures instead when I stopped caring (not entirely but almost there). Sure I wanna know the verdict but so long as can we can play for a premiership next year without the loss of premiership points then I'll be looking forward to that. Really, you can discuss the technicalities and facts over and over again but once the siren sounds it's all about the lads on the field and how they perform.

and I for one am grateful :)

I didn't realise our side had been gagged. Why wasn't the otherside gagged too? Or, as some expect, the AFL leaks that have been feeding stuff to EQ and CW? Now maybe we've chosen not to fight back/rock the boat/make waves until after all the facts are in the public domain, but it must have been KILLING us to see all this crap dribbled.
I think i missed something, where were we gagged?

Jenny, I'm still waiting for you to show me the letter, ofcourse the AFC are guilty because everyone has seen the letter right?
No, because AFC admitted to the AFL that there were problems. If we've been charged with breaches it will be a miracle if found completely innocent.

So basically Judd's Visy deal has been killed so you guys can't come back and say why is it legal for Carlton and Judd to do the exact same thing we and Tippett did

Surely the AFL hasn't got a leg to stand on in a court of law if they were already allowing it for someone else o_O

Any chance this could drag out past the 22 Nov draft day? Sounds like there is alot to discuss on Monday and I cant see us hearing any outcome until at least Tuesday.

How does everyone else see this panning out?
