One Port? What salary cap breach. Are you talking SANFL where 8 of the 9 clubs have gone over the cap since 200?
IIRC only Sturt hasn't gone over the cap.

So he is excepting less money in 2013 and possibly a shorter deal, this has to make it easier for GWS

The BigFooty Liverpool Army thread is pretty frickin massive.I do believe, with 27000 posts, we now have the biggest thread in BF history. (Others had parts up to 26)

This is what actually makes me the most angry. I don't mind my team trying their hardest and been proactive in trying to keep good talent. I have seen a number things that Triggy has done over the last couple of years that point to poor judgment and this Tippo shit is the latest. I also have to say that even after the hammering Triggy got from the AFL (and he has been hit really hard) he still came across as arrogant in his interviews and that worries me.Upon reflection, I have to compliment the AFC and their spin doctors on an outstanding effort over the last week.
Apparently we are not cheats, we were simply a little naive in our interpretation of the rules. At the same time our CEO, Board and lawyers have done a spectacular job to minimise our punishment. So we must now believe that we could have lost our top draft picks for four years, paid a million dollar fine and possibly lost premiership points for what was a small "technical" breach of the rules. What the ?????
And everyone supports the Board in their decision to retain Triggy. This is despite all public polls being in favour of his dismissal. But all the supporters are behind Triggy (well except for the deluded ones that inundated the club with hostile emails. Those supporters don't count because they don't know the full story (which the AFC promised to tell us but are now prevented from telling us their side of the story) Was I the only one to see that one coming when Rob Chapman made his pledge of full and frank disclosure after the "trial".
The support of the members is so over whelming that we signed up nearly 400 members on Monday. Apparently it was nearly a "record". Let's do the maths. Last year we had 45,105 members (the lowest number for 7 years, way to go Triggy) and a significant percentage renew between mid November and mid December. This will be even greater this year since members need to renew by next Friday to "anchor" their seats for Adelaide Oval in 2014. Let's ignore those facts and just assume that member renewals are evenly spaced from November to March. Let's do the maths, 45,105 members over 120 days would mean an average day has 376 renewals (including 376 on Christmas day). There you have it, 400 renewals on Monday must surely have been a world record and an enormous endorsement of Triggy.
And then there were the players. Now in any organisation if the Chairman of the Board asked the "workers", do you think we should sack the boss?, they will naturally say , yes sack the bastard (who may have control over their next contract negotiation.
Some premiership spin over the last few weeks, no doubt about that.
I'm still betting on JP Sauce
A mate of mine had a carton bet with a Dockers fan that Fremantle would never make the finals.Yeah technically JP can never win. It's like one of those ancient philosophical paradoxes.

The way the SA media closed ranks around their mate Triggy to the extreme of Cornes treating with total disrespect members who said Triggy should go on his radio spot, looked almost like it was planned and contrived by the AFC themselves.
And to be told by the club that they would give us all their side of the story and that they were infact looking forward to it, but then when the time comes they say they can't. And after hearing that knob Rowie tell us all just to wait until the club gives us their side before making our minds up in this matter, and how Reidy was going to come into the studio and answer questions, when the Triggy then tells him on his program that he won't go into details Rowie the stupid twat doesn't challenge him to keep his promise. It smacks of arrogance and disrespect towards the members.
If it gelled with the other facts that are out there, and common sense. So if Trigg had come out and provided you with his version of events, all very detailed what happened and why, would you have believed him??

I wonder what happens if Tippett senior doesn't buy into the clubs culture?
And what if Kurt doesn't? Does he plays reserves? Yeh right, that will be a great look, highest paid player, new recruit doesn't get a game because he is a tool.
If it gelled with the other facts that are out there, and common sense.
It would only be slightly different to the reported facts if it was a lie.Oh come on Carl, why does it need to gel with other facts and common sense?
If Trigg provided a detailed version of events, his version of events that many on this board dearly crave, that was even slightly different to what has been reported we all know what would have been said on this board.
Surely JP could never win, the thread could be closed the day after he is declared the winner for example.
I wanted to make people think.Yeah technically JP can never win. It's like one of those ancient philosophical paradoxes.

It would only be slightly different to the reported facts if it was a lie.
That's the thing about this. You can concoct a story and if you are smart can cover off most details... but there are always a couple left sticking out.
BYO.Whatever happens, I'm gonna miss this place, although its kinda like a pub with no beer.
I never said it was. I just pointed out that thinking you are right because the majority of people "don't pass a decent person test in your eyes' does
And still they kept their jobsI listened to the interview and I feel that AD thinks the individuals are cheats not the club. There's a slight difference. I also have been reading on the net where people are calling the AFC fans cheats. What a load of horseshit. I dont consider myself a cheat.
Actually, as far as the trade agreement business goes, if the agreement was a "minimum second-round pick" I'm not sure it's really all that bad. Isn't it really implied whenever someone signs a contract with a club that if, at the end of it, they want to be traded their existing club will negotiate in good faith to get them to their club of choice? Isn't it the case that there is a baseline below which a club will not trade a player in those circumstances?
