Alex there is very little in your post I disagree with. But as usual you completely miss the point of mine. Yes these guys take on risk and public profile for big bucks. No argument there. My point is that the venom and lack of humanity and empathy on this board towards people after the event who make mistakes attempting to do the best for the club is worrying - big bucks make no difference to their humanity. To err is human. So 'let him who is without sin cast the first stone'. So I'm not even going to respond to your comment about Steven Trigg as its all been said.

Juveniles blame, rant, obsess and don't move on. Time you did. ;)

Oh sure, I'll happily give them all a hug and a pat on the back. I'll even whisper a soothing 'there there'.

VADER - Nice summary.

When Adelaide felt that the Swans were ready to pounce why did they resist? Why didnt they sell him at below cost price ie 2nd rounder and a player? Especially as they knew what trouble they could land themselves in?

Who do you think we will pounce on this year with the extra room in the salary cap?

A KPP or midfielder?

We couldn't execute a cheap trade because the AFL smelled a rat. A potential top 15 forward for a spud.....

I didn't just smell, it reeked.

No one could believe that Tippett was worth pick 22 and Jesse White, well no one except a few deluded Swans supporters.:p

By rat you mean Skirt. lol.
Thats right geez that was only 4-5 months ago. lol

If ever a player could do an ACL it is this guy.

Didnt we get offered a second rounder and a spud?

But if our club was covering all sorts of things, should we have not accepted this deal and ran with it?

I think we tried, but the idea of it was so ridiculous that alarm bells started to go off at AFL HQ, so we just confessed. The Swans weren't willing to offer more so I doubt we had any other choice.

Thanks all coming back as bad memory now.

Makes Bock look like a Saint. I wonder if he will ever come back home?

But those are the same people who have placed this long term success of this club in major jeopardy.

There will come a point in the next 3 or 4 year where the loss of the draft picks will come back and hunt us and only then, will the shit really hit the fan at the anger and disappointment at the club and the way they handled this. When we are losing, anger will be a very tame emotion being demonstrated.

Saying that, you are correct in saying that "Juveniles blame, rant, obsess". Therefore, I ask you, have you read the comments directed towards Kurt Tippett? as you said, "to err is human". I'm sure he would do thing very different if he had his time again.

Time to move on but that take 2 parties to actually move on. One team can not just play the game.

This threat isn't the issue, it's the topic. The topic will continue to be discussed as long as Trigg is still at the club. He is the one consistent still involved (mind you he is on suspension). KT is in Sydney, Reid is retired and Trigg is coming back in July.

You can have as many threats locked all you like however the topic will continue to be discussed in different threats.

Until all parties are gone, this will be an issue as it will rear it's ugly head sometime into the future.

Only because SOME refuse to let it go! :rolleyes:

I'm not stopping people from discussing but there is no new developments, news or insights being added, it's just old news and opinions being recycled by a few trying to keep the thread going

We all know the crimes, we all know the penalties and we have all debated our opinions

Time to move on

Honestly some people on here sound like the bitter twittered ex-husband or ex-wife that just don't move on even years after their divorce

You being one!!!!

I was over it before it started Alex. I've moved on... but you can't. You cannot accept the judgment of the AFL nor of our own Board. They must all be incompetent, you (and your mates) believe, because they don't see it the way you do. Therefore they will always be incompetent. And as long as you believe that, you'll never move on. Bloody awful way to live.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Time to move on

I agree that it's time to move on. If only that would apply to everyone.

If it's time to move on, does that mean all Kurt Tippett jokes have to stop?
