He had a prior injury coming in, just below the knee. He got a knock on it at the start of the game and as there is a nerve right in that spot it is hurting him a lot. They can't give him an injection, apparently as he would lose feeling in his foot. So they subbed him out.

Hope it hurts the bastard.

while i agree in that i dont really like seeing people injured, i didnt really feel anything for him. it wasnt a particularly nasty injury. i get injured in the garden and no ones cares.

also, people on a football forum cheering on an injury is hardly going to come back and bite us. 0 percent chance of some keyboard warriors ever influencing a player running around on a field in another part of the world...
