Yet, they still left.

Good clubs don't lose players they want to keep.
Geelong aren't a good club for losing Ablett?
Hawks aren't a good club for losing JP Kennedy?

Dislike him for the right reasons. That's all.

Have all the facts and then make a decision.

Boy..

Alex

Players have to spin the political line when fronted with the question by the media

Yep. I've had both of those players say something quite different to me re Tippett.

Ok

Danger has publicly said he us mate, Sloane as well and others don't get asked that question as really, no one cares if they are his friend or not.
I don't believe Danger nor Sloaney are particularly close any more to Kurt.

Funny how you keep wanting to tell people they are wrong about why he left, when no one but you is even talking about why

Its just you who cares why.

And no, why doesn't change how.

Although I believe its probably telling how much you want to believe his unreasonable behaviour can be justified if you know his "reasons". With your temper perhaps you've been similarly "misunderstood" a few times ;)

Funny how you are not willing to analyse why he left as it just allows you to have your pitchforks and fire at the ready.

Good to see you enjoy a few good things about this club?

Oops, you don't.

Tippett - hate
Trigg - hate
Van Berlo - hate

And you have the audacity to say I'm a negative person.

But my stance actually has nothing to do with Tippett as the club tried to paint the departure of Bock as something sinister, Davis as well. Gunston had an award ripped of him and now Tippett.

If the club was honest, the Tippett trade should have been a very smooth move but via trickery and lies - we got nothing for him.

I just want others to start to think about it that if they have acted this way to him and others, whose to know it won't happen again.

4 players in 5 years isn't a good ratio.

That's fair enough and I reckon many who argue with you about Tippett would be more than willing to examine that particular point but the battle ground chosen is one that most people have made up their minds on and see enough fault in the messages Tippett and his management sent out. That's not to say they necessarily swallow all that the AFC have said either, in fact the anger on this board towards the current admin suggests they actually believe very little of what they are told.

Alex, I just want to be clear on something, the pkayers are not livid because he left it how he left and the bullshit that he spun to his mates prior to making the decision to leave

Some players went as far as accepting reduced contracts because Kurt told them he would only ever leave to go home to Qld and by accepting reduced contracts they knew that we could match both GC and the Lions offer only then to have Kurt walk out and go to Sydney without having the courage to ace his team mates

At least both Davis and Bock were open and upfront with their team mates and as a result they still ave the upmost respect of their ex team mates

How exactly would that trade EVER have gone smoothly?

That's nuts

If we were getting fair value its a difficult trade
If we were giving him away the AFL steps in

By not agreeing to a trade for a second round pick.

They have to follow the club party line. And would imply they wouldn't talk to him.

Can not have it both ways.

Your not baking sense

The club does not want this to continued to be played out in the media, it's in the clubs best interest that this affair dies of a quick death, with this in mind our players will not throw more fuel on the fire

Capish

1. That would look suspect & would have been investigated by Ken Wood.
2. Think you will find the wording of that clause was just a little different.

But he never, ever, ever said that.

He said he was a Gold Coast boy at heart but never said he would play in Queensland.

He wanted to play for the club of his choice and the club agreed to that by trading him fir a second round pick to the club of his choice. The assumption was, it would be one if the Queensland teams.

Would you stop talking about "how" he left, Alex only wants to talk about "why".

Because that would have gone smoothly.

The AFL stepped in to stop pick 22 & white, and you believe a second round pick would've sailed through?

C'mon get real

Really?

BY NOT having the deal in place the first time. By saying no to any sort of agreement.

Hopefully we haven't agreed to trade Henderson to the club of his choice fir a 3rd round pick.

Oh that's right, the deal never happened with him. It was in,y ever instigated with Tippett.

No deal in the very first place would have made it a smooth transition.

Not sure why you are now bringing up Henderson as he is still under contract?

Is your dosage wearing off? 5 minutes ago the trade was easy, and we should have just taken the 2nd round pick

Now.. 5 mins later; the trade should have gone smoothly because there shouldn't have been an agreement?

If there is no agreement its not a second round pick

You need to pick one, just one view

You think trading him in normal circumstances would have been easy?

You're crazy
