Rickys not very happy by the looks of it, Bangladesh are here in a month and our boys will have to get up off the floor to do it all again. I dont think this has to be so. How about resting some of these guys and bringing some experienced or promising and more importantly fresh players in. Surley a team with guys like for example Slater,North,Rogers, M Waugh(a perfect oppurtunity for a 'farewell' tour) and other handy Shield players isn't going to lose to Bangladesh is it?

No point reinstating the likes of Slater and Mark Waugh, but it might be an idea to put in the young players of the future.

You might say it makes a mockery of Test cricket to not pick your best team... but the ICC started the mockery by admitting Bangladesh into Test cricket. :p

Nope. No Way. Not a chance. We just cant give away Baggy green caps to a couple of guys with potential and other guys who are finished internationally. The only guy who's not in the team now that really deserves a cap is Micheal Clarke and you are right, this is the perfect series for him to be blooded in...but that's all up to Stephen Waugh.

DaveW has it right. If Australia only played the likes of India, England and the other traditional Test nations then being awarded a baggy green cap would be a special honor. But there is no glory at all in kicking the pants off a minnow who shouldn't have been admitted for another 20 years.

I say rest Ponting, Gillespie, and one of Hayden and Langer.

You'd be doing the right thing by Mark Waugh to give him one last tour (if he wants it of course), and that's likely to be the only dignified thing to come out this series. Unless Habibul Bashar makes a ton or something like that.
