Stephens also set up about 3 shots at goals with quality passes. French is too slow gas no awareness, good to see Bryan and Ohailpin playing well. I hope to god we win.

Thank Corey Mcgrath as well, him and French always produce a monumental stuff up and that handball was a disgrace. Im sick of those 2 clowns playing. Good on Eddie Betts withstood the pressure well.

Im happy that Essendon are now odds-on certs for the spoon but definitely feels a bit hollow to have gotten it via a draw. Great game, and dont be too tough on Setanta- I thought he was outstanding, and has a real future if he keeps that up.

Setanta was good - looked a little lost at times but was very good at other times. Can't believe we drew - don't usually say this, but the umpires were disgraceful espcially in that first half - cost us atleast 3 goals. First touched kick is counted as a goal, than he grabs Lance's foot and we get no free, another Lucas goal. Kennedy gets a push in the back, not paid and Essendon clear and score another goal. Than Fev is held and pushed by Solomon, can't believe it wasn't paid, ump was only 15 metres away.

If Essendon cant beat an inaccurate Carlton on a day like this, with Lucas playing his best game for the year, then yes, they will struggle to beat anyone else and will be odds-on certs for the spoon.

Stevens is 4th in the Comp for Clanger kicks now that is not good enough from a senior player of his standing.

Even though Fev did some really sloppy things today (dropped marks, that silly kick around the corner into the man on the mark in the third quarter) I have to say, he did an outstanding job considering the week he has had.

Yeah i agree, neither team knows how to win tho at the moment. Some of our turnovers and mistakes, ie bannisters not bouncing ball, french getting run down, mcgrath's handball are beyond poor. We missed some poor shots also.

Our shooting at goal was terrible, setanta missing everything, Waite 2 points, Kouta kicked 2.3, simmo 1.4, Thankfully Eddie slotted through his last 2 and got us the draw.
