How come Tom Alvin didn't continue in 1995? He was a gun of a player for Carlton.I can't remember how he went in the finals that season anyone remember in 1994.

I don't have any answers for you, but he would have been 33yo had he played on in 95'. The Blues were bundled out of the finals unexpectedly by Melbourne and Geelong and calls of too old too slow were circling the club.

Tommy didn't play in the 2nd final in 94'. Not sure if that was injury or omission, but Melbourne's forwards dominated the QF, so perhaps it was the latter and he saw the writing on the wall.
