Our record shows that we don't trade guys out after 1 year, nor do we have if a club have gone behind our back with contracted guys. But if clubs and players have done 2 years and you have been up front with us like melbourne were with Tyson then we are happy to move on guys for the right deal.
Dogs have just played this very poorly.

Whats hard to understand?

You must have missed the part where your club offered our contracted captain a deal behind our back?

Which is what started all this.

Your holier than thou stuff is laughable.

Actually he approached us. And we approached the dogs. Same end game different way to go about it. You tried the same with The General.

This is actually getting quite ugly like Bombers and Port and Pies and Brisbane.

Truely at worst I would hunt Griffen away and get pick 1 from the Saints if GWS let's Boyd.

Saints are in a better position to fight the Dogs off with the spoon in 2015!
In theory yes - but at this stage we have two players that have named the clubs they want to get to which is an important consideration (players have to agree to any move).

Both are under contract which complicates the issues at hand - at the very least I'd be very surprised if Griffen is a Bulldog next year.

What ever is posted is totally about the Bulldogs! No concern at all for GWS particularly on the goodwill side!

I totally get you do not want Griffen at the Bulldogs. Frankly I would not want Griffen at Tiger land. It all seems cancerous like other players seem to be and frankly I think GWS best interests is to probably ignore the developing Bulldogs train wreck and deal with others with better values conducive to good footy environments for all stakeholders involved!

What amazes me is, given the Bulldogs plight, Bulldogs post with a sense of entitlement regarding Boyd coming and Griffen leaving almost equivalent to a Hird view of the world!

Seriously the lack of respect shown by Bulldogs supporters towards GWS's interests is truly confronting even to a bystander!

TBH, I dont expect any non-GWS supporter to believe that GWS didnt tap him up - but as far as I go, defenders hold, big marking forwards drop the elbow, and list managers tap up under contract players.

Thats interesting.

'Come home', not 'go to Bulldogs'.

Did anyone hear the whole thing ?
Stated he wants to go to the bulldogs and will request a trade to the dogs next year if a trade doesn't go through this year.

Please tell me more about what our entire supporter base is like and how this has been going for over 2 years in spite of all available evidence, just like Essendon and Hird

Anyone want to discuss the issue rationally?

FWIW Pickering is on the radio making no real overtures about the deal getting done this week as much as he'd like it to get done. Probably reflects the reality that the Bulldogs can't really force Griffen to stay due to there being associated negatives, while Boyd staying has net positive benefits for GWS.

Discuss issues rationally !? This is BigFooty !

Like Pickers said, it's common sense when you have a player that wants to be a Dog and we have one that wants to be a Giant. Yes it sucks and we hate players leaving our clubs, but have to take emotion out of it and do a deal. We are losing our Captain and best player for the last 6+ years, so it isn't a little piece you're getting back.

Why do Dogs supporters keep posting fiction as if its reality?

What are you talking about? Griffen is under contract, not only can he stay Gordon said at one point he is not going anywhere!

Just because the club seems to be a cess pool atm does not mean Griffen can't stay. Bulldogs signed the contract!

Newsflash no other club has signed anything regarding Griffen nor should they feel a compulsion to do so!!

After his manager has come out like this we can't just trade him, we need to show kids like Boyd theres a right and wrong way of going about things.
He can always sit out the year if he is that desperate to be home for mum's cooking. I hope from now on we ask these kids ( I mean really ask them) before we draft them if they have a problem moving interstate. If they do don't waste the pick.
