Toast Tom Curren

Is there a reason Curren would be ineligible?
He only just turned 21 and hasn't played 10 games.
At least he will be eligible next year.

Plays for St Kilda and it's common knowledge our youth is crap

TC has built his career around proving the doubters wrong. He proved the Saints selector doubters wrong when he got picked. Now he's going to prove the Rising star doubters wrong next year.

While it is a bit ridiculous that TC didn't get the nod this round, I don't mind our young blokes going under the radar... ;)

All the opposition fools can keep thinking our youth is shit, but all that really matters is that we know they're very good :thumbsu:

I would go as far as saying even Tom Ledger had a better game than Luke Brown... And even Seb Ross' game was better!
Kevin Sheahan picks them doesn't he? If he does he is useless. Noticed it a few times others deserved it more then the player he/they picked.

They picked Luke Brown because apparently he's been consistent this year, across 21 games. I guess it's fair enough that they want to reward consistency and playing 21 games across the season is a good effort.

However, if we want to talk consistency, Curren has had 4 20+ disposal games in a row now, after a sub affected debut and poor second game v Geelong. Something Brown has not done.
Across 7 games, he has averaged 16 disposals (more than Brown), which includes his first two poor games.
Taking those out, he averages 21 disposals.

That chase and run down on Mzungu almost deserves a nomination on its own.

Jaeger O'meara last week...

Being reported that Tom Curren has re-signed for another 2 years, guaranteeing that he will be on the senior list next year! Other teams should start to watch out, the TC Effect will be in full force.
Choo beauty! Fantastic effort to re-sign the Round 22 Rising Star (to the hell with the 'official' verdict)

#TheTCEffect :D

Shattered that TC's time with us is at an end, really thought he was going to be a solid AFL player. Looked very promising when he played the patch of games in the midfield then struggled when forced to play the defensive forward role.

Loved the story of TC starting an extra weights program with the younger teammates, from all reports is an ultimate professional. Hope he stays on with Sandy next year.

Surely, you were not surprised by this.
Bloke had more than enough chances.
6th year in the system, aged 24.
And 0 games in 2016 I think this was justified.
Wish him all the best for his future.
