Sounds great in theory but not the same kind of player. Cuts is a metres gained expert. Mcstays a lazy footballer unless its in his direct area.Yeah.....McStay straight in for him though.

Their not similar though in any way.Dunno..Maybe on last years performance....Reckon, given the opportunity, McStay may give the same result.

Theres a few actually.I know....but there is no reason why McStay couldn't play the same role.
Theres a few actually.
1. Mcstay is not a line breaker.
2. Mcstays hasnt got the endurance or heart.
Only thing in mcstays favour is he can defend. Take grabs and is accurate by foot.

We will have to agree to disagree. Mcstay is little like harry taylor. But cuts isnt.not sure that's accurate McStay in his junior days was often compared to Harry Taylor, because of his ability to shut down opposition forwards while providing good counter-attack. Pretty handy replacement for Cutler both are still learning their crafts..
The Lions will take a conservative approach with defender Tom Cutler, who dislocated his shoulder
Running halfback Tom Cutler faces up to six weeks on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder in the first quarter against the Dogs.
Gee that sucks. He was starting to find some real consistency and continuity in his game the last few weeks, was getting better with each game he played. Wonder who'll fill his spot in the meantime...
Small forward Josh Green (chest) is "doubtful", while running defender Tom Cutler will be unavailable after dislocating his shoulder.
The Lions are talking to specialists about the best course of action for the 21-year-old, but Francis says the most conservative treatment would have Cutler back in six weeks.
Defender Tom Cutler is on track in his rehabilitation from a dislocated shoulder sustained in the Lions’ Round 5 loss to the Western Bulldogs. He is expected to return to football in the next fortnight.
“Tom’s going really well. He’s back doing some skills work. “It’s just a matter of making sure his strength is good enough before we put him into contact situations. He’s still probably a couple of weeks away.”
He was the only that I saw take the game on night last night time and time again.Tom was an absolute standout tonight.
Scans on Cutler's hamstring on Monday showed minor damage and he is expected to miss Saturday's clash with Richmond at the MCG.
