Gents (& Ladies) ,

During the Geelong V Bulldogs game, commentators mentioned that Libba is coming out of contract and that we were keen on acquiring him.

Has anyone heard this at all..? Would certainly address the clearance issues we currently have.

Would you be keen?

I'd be keen as mustard, but I just don't see Libba leaving the doggies.

Agreed it would seem highly unlikely given his ties to the club.
Money talks at the end of the day and so does potential success.
Would take him in a heartbeat but there will be plenty of suitors & if he wanted the $$ GWS would be the ideal choice. The doggies might get Jeremy out of the deal too.

lol. According to the media the pies are keen on getting everyone. Can't see Libba leaving the dogs unless a bucketload of cash was thrown his way, like Ablett to the Suns. We don't have that kind of coin to spare.

as good as he is I'd much rather see an outside player that is clean with the ball. we Have Adams and Thomas who are great in and under long term. and Even freeman is a contested in and under player despite his pace

I would rather he stay at the Bulldogs. It's about time the big clubs stop stripping them of their players.

He's a father and son pick, the bullies stood by him when he was found with drugs and hes there best player behind Griffen.

Its like Paul Seedsman leaving Collingwood, it just wont happen

Yep we need another player who can't kick.
You're thinking of his dad, Libba jnr is a beautiful kick of the footy, not penetrating but cleanest left foot at the club (including winning the draft kicking test in his year). We could match any money thrown at him anyway and if it were a trade it would have to be huge, kid should have been AA last year and is not far off the pace again this year. Our most blue chip prospect by a long, long margin.

Oh and fyi he signed a three year extension at the end of last year ;)

So Dwayne Russell was full of crap? I'm so shocked to hear that. ;)

If this were to happen, you might as well fold the Bulldogs forever. I'd say a journalist is just making stuff up here. Of course we would be interested, is it ever going to happen? No chance in hell.

I think Dwayne Russell is tripping some major balls

He might help us win a few more clearances but, overall, we have bigger concerns. Going out and signing gun players, Tom or otherwise, won't address the key issues.
