Tom Rockliff

For those who watched the under 18 final today would agree with me that if we use pick 18 or 19 on this kid - we have picked up a very good player!
His kicking was off today kicking 2 goals 5 points but I believe he was most impressive when he went into the midfield in the third quarter. His body work in the forward for his size was a delight to watch.

I hope that due to his late start to the season (because of injury) he will slip tp us pick 18. This kid is still elegible for next years draft. He is tuff as nails, great pair of hands, good skills and fooy brain. I think if he played all year in the tac cup he would go much higher than where he will get selected this year.
I have been on this kid before and the more i watch the more i am impressed.

Another player we should look at picking up is Dan Putt. 202 cm and he moves well and has a lot of agility. Wont play seniors AFL next year but i believe he will develop into a key forward.
I hope we are looking at these two kids. If anyone else seen the game please feel free to coment

Wouldn't touch either personally Delids. I'd be surprised if Rockliff went earlier than 3rd round, Putt may go a fraction earlier purely on size and future potential.

Out of today's players, I'd gladly rookie Tom German though.

I have Richmond has having considerable interest in Rockliffe.

As Weaver says, a poor-mans Cotchin who, despite some weaknesses, could be a steal beyond pick 30.

Have seen a few games this year and he has great go about him.
I would be suprised if he goes in the top 40 but anything after that he would be worth a punt.
His skills with hand are great but he needs to work on his kicking.
Todays game was a pretty fair indication as to where he is at.

Ah, ok mac, I though he was just off the radar a little because of his height, but I should have known better. It's shaping like being back to a strong draft again next year...time for us to return to 9th on the ladder.

Personally YnB, I think we'd be mad not to use one of our 2nd/3rd/4th picks on a ruckman.

I sent an email to Greg Miller about this kid last year. No response. 2 years ago i sent an email to him regarding Steele Sidebotton Sam Wright & Pianto. He was aware of Steele sidebottom back then.

I have Always been impressed with Rockliff - I dont why we couldnt delist another player last year and pick him up with a low pick.
I also dont understand why clubs dont choose bottom age kids with their low picks on players who will obviously get picked up the following year.

U dont have much to lose with pick 50 odd

I agree, Gaertner and Rockliff instead of a Tivendale can't hurt us in the long run.
