Scandal Tom Silvagni convicted of rape

I was very clear that the strong discussion she was making about violence towards women was absolutely valid.

Careful...Don't start lying again.
But also hypocritical.

Careful… don’t start getting caught up in your own words again.

It is hypocritical. But I was very, very clear that publicly supporting Smith is where the hypocrisy lies.

I know what my views are, and I articulate then very carefully. So I don't get caught up in anything.

My views are in black and white. They're very clear.

So just stop lying, misquoting and intentionally misinterpreting what I'm writing.

Incredible that two seperate points you’ve made have been so poorly misinterpreted by multiple people when you’re so articulate (noting im pretty sure no one is misinterpreting the word hypocritical here).

Defs not a you problem

It doesn't.

I don't think I've read anyone suggest that?

What I think is odd, is that someone that's very passionate about the topic of misogyny and violence against women (rightly so) - expresses public support for someone whose behaviour is part of the problem.

It's just a bit strange.

Maybe you need to take that up with Caro, the one you've been drooling over, who wrote a puff piece about her mate Tom Morris welcoming him back into the fold after he was fired for absolutely disgusting remarks about his female colleagues.

Let us know how you go.

I’m still not getting why someone being a fan of a football player maybes them less able to discuss this case. One is a sport we love and the other well he’s a criminal. Sure Bailey might not be a Rhodes Scholar (name a footy player that is) but does it matter? Wouldn’t be the first supporter to like Bailey the footy player.

Ah didn't read further

Huh? Who have I been drooling over?

Harsh sentence but it’s the new world we live in. A silly boy.

You’re probably better off knocking off two elderly people in the high country these days and burning them. Or doing an OJ.

The legal system and judges are ****ed. You can only hope karma gets them and their families so they understand real loss.
You are wishing karma on the judges ….. are you for real.

If you ask me his sentence is light .

Missed the judge part if anything the judge was VERY kind considering the actions of the criminal. There are reasons for the softness but it was hardly harsh

Not quite a Rhodes scholar (yet) but Bailey Scott studies astrophysics.

Im curious as to what other bin was being put out, recycle, green waste or glass only? Hoping they do a follow up piece or interview a neighbour so we can find out
I heard a rumour it was recycling and then someone else told me it was definitely landfill cos of the lid colour. Now I'm really confused and dunno what to think.

There’s a few odd ones but in general let’s be realistic here most wouldn’t lol
I know. Its just ironic there's an AFL playing Bailey S that isn't dumb as **** actually has a brain is quite smart, at this point in the discussion.

Its the first time I have listened to the whole verdict.

I general didn't know what 'digital rape' until today.

I'd say he got off a few years due to the age at the time he committed the offence, 21 years of age. Im surprised he went to uni- Monash University. He doesn't seem like the brightest spark to me despite being uni educated. Where I studied at this year they had a whole module for 1st years to do in regards to sexual misconduct on campus- im gathering its a new thing, especially this year at my university. Feels like the private school system, parents at home don't educate their young folk enough.

Genuinely didnt know Kennett had mates in prison. First I have heard of that.

An entire module for a topic not part of your final educational requirements?
That seems kind of out there.
Not saying its not a good cause. but when you look at the education time for the likes of medical doctors, extending it for stuff like that is not .......likely to be broadly accepted.

Kid is 22, i hope that the punishment, along with the programs in place at prison, make him turn around his attitude and come back a better person.
