St Kilda are said to be outraged at another incident against the swans where tunnelling was clearly an issue.

Only problem is, it was St Kilda who were deliberately employing this dangerous and totally outrageous tactic.:p

Enough of the joking, not sure who it was, believe it was the third quarter but there was an incident even the halfwit foxtel commentators picked up on which appeared much worse than anything the marshmallows from down St Kilda way copped in round one. So where are the St Scum supporters now??? Can we expect something to be mentioned or was it just another reason to whack us early in the year.

Thier was an incident were Goodes was tunnelled, by the definition of round 1

Are St Kilda saying one of their own were tunneled?

Na mate just having a lend, was something i observed and the commentators at the game picked up on too. At one stage a St Kilda player made no attempt at the ball which one of our players had leapt for. Instead the saints player ran straight under the swans player taking his bottom half of the body out from under him which Soph is what has been defined as tunnelling. Was more commenting on the silence of the St Kilda supporters on the issue now it was one of their own.

i still dont get it
is it kinda like when someone in NRL gets picked up and slammed into the ground on their head
That's a spear tackle. Tunnelling refers to taking out someone's legs, knocking them off balance when they are jumping for a mark.

It's apparently when a play has jumped for a mark and someone moves their body under the player to disturb their balance so they wont mark.

It's a fallacy of the St Kilda brigade anyway.

Ahhh that makes sense
hmmm interesting dont a lot of players get under peoples marks anyway

i imagine the Saints will say that Riewoldt was tunnelled which I did notice once and it was not a deliberate act.He still marked the ball.
Tunnelling is an old basketball term and it was frequently used in that sport. It is dangerous and I can't imagine any player deliberately doing it.
No one likes seeing a player go down injured.
