Newton taken off on a stretcher with a neck brace on......
It was close at half time and in the third but we are now losing by about seven goals....although i don't really care about the score because apparently Sylvia, Moloney, Davey, Jones and Bate are all having good games....I'm just worried about Newton

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I agree, it's 2008 ffs not the 1800s. I thought the pre-season was about promoting the game, a score would kind of come in handy.

I don't really care that we lost.....i thought it would be hard for us to win with the side we picked......
I'm very happy that Jones, Sylvia, Bate, Moloney and Davey all had good games(the highlighted were our best according to people that watched the game) the only downside was Newton getting injured but Hopefully it was just a concussion and not something bad..

Dean Bailey is the man!
Forget all the bumfluff that is pre-season, the experience our kids are getting is invaluable and these other clubs that are playing almost full strength teams are mad. Just think, almost all our kids will have a game (albeit pre-season) under their belt and that will bind them to the team better. We won't have kids who feel as if they are not part of the team. Our list is the main issue. Bailey has that street-wise Port Adelaide approach to making younger players the best they can be, I just hope that when we get to the stage of taking the next step that he has the goods but so far so good.

Can't get much from the rubbish reporting of the game, anyone know how Weetra went? He was mentioned as being 'dangerous' but no details...
It looks by the number of youngsters Bails is playing he is doing a similar thing that Port has done over the last few years. As many youngsters to play as early as possbile to see if they can cut it.
