How boring... Libba sounds like a disgruntled employee to be perfectly honest. I reckon that he was thinking that he was set on the path to becoming a senior AFL coach in a couple more years and then his 'mentor' Denis Pagan was sacked and a new coach came in and Libba left on what was thought to be amicable terms with the club. And then suddenly he comes out with accusations that he felt that there was a vibe around the club that they were more interested in maximising their draft picks... and doesnt provide proof when questioned about it.

And now, after he raised the issue again last year and the AFL told world+dog that there was no tanking at Carlton, he is once again prodded into rehashing the comments of what appears to be a bitter former employee of Carlton.

No one has ever questioned Melbourne's positional moves in the game in question... but everyone alludes to Carlton tanking in that game!

That year we were crap... we were regularly being beaten by at least 5 goals... but apparently we were good enough to tank this game. Damn... we must have been better than I thought that year.

If you honestly want to talk about tanking... go talk to the West Coasters about their 2010 season where by half way through the season, a bunch of their experienced players had been sent for surgery and they were playing the kids for the rest of the season.

I rather dislike talking ill of one of your club champions... especially after you guys played well and gave us a serious spanking... so take my previous comment as discussion on the whole tanking matter rather than trying to be a slur against Libba.

He might have been a bit of a pest when he was playing, but he was a pretty handy sort out on the ground.

One of my favourite players. Should be good. I hope they focus more on his playing ability rather than the controversy he caused when he became a tagger.
It's Mike Sheahan, the chances of that happening are below zero. :p

It will be 15 minutes on tanking at Carlton, 10 on Matthew Knights, and if he gets time he might mention the good of his playing career.

I do hope they ask about Tom's drug incident last year, though.

Dad spoke to Tony quite recently and he was emphatic that there will be absolutely no mention of Tom's drug incident - not asking such a question was part of his agreement to go on.
Then again, the previous time we heard from him, he wasn't going on at all, so who knows. I hope it isn't brought back up. Reamed out in the media, copped his ban and has rebounded mentally and on the field. It should just be put to bed for good.

I think overall Tom does not give a shit how he is percieved in reguards to the whole drug thing.. he works hard and does all the right things and all he is worried about is doing right by his team. Does not phase him a bit. Lets not kid ourselves.. he is still getting on it most likely and that's just our society these days.. a large amount of young players are too.
